Smokin Barrel Bbq

Unassuming counter serve BBQ spot kinda hidden in a mall in Millard. I had brisket tacos with slaw and candied jalapenos on them. I also had some chili with chunks of beef in it, and it was also very good. My friend had a pulled pork sandwich and said it was a little dry, but the barbecue sauce was very good. They have short hours. Make sure they're open before you go.

This IS the real go-to for BBQ here in Omaha. No need to travel to Kansas City for a BBQ fix. I've been several times in the last 6 months and it's consistently as could add you can get. Brisket is melt in your mouth and great smoke flavor. Ribs are great. Brisket tacos with candied jalapenos are great! Brisket chili is on point. All the sides... Smoked sausage delicious as well. The spicy sauce is perfect! Can't wait to go back.

Had the Brisket Tacos. Was unsure to pay $15 for 2 tacos but wow was I blown away. There was more brisket on them even enough to feed a whole family. The picture obviously shows only a few pieces of this goodness. The slaw and the candied jalapeños slap harder that anyone’s mom. Hands down, you guys have the most tender and juiciest brisket in town.

First time trying this place. Had been wanting to for a while. It did not disappoint. Generous portions of meat on my Texan sandwich. More than any other BBQ place you will go to. Brisket was so tender and juicy. Great flavor. Used the hot sauce and it was spicy but not overpowering. Had cowboy beans as my side, which were also very good with chunks of brisket in them

We were looking for some place different to eat when we were in Omaha for an appointment. Google sent us towards Smokin Barrel BBQ, and we are really glad Google did! It isn't a place we would have come by just by driving around! It was absolutely awesome. I had a brisket sandwich with baked beans. There was way too much meat for me to eat in one sitting. It was so tender that it just melted in my mouth. The beans were very good. Had plenty of pieces of meat to enhance the flavor of the beans. My husband had the ribs with potato salad. He loved them. He considers himself a "rib aficionado" and said these are some of the best he has had. After we got home (a 2 hour drive) he claimed that we weren't thinking when we left and should have grabbed some meat to bring home for supper! I told him next time..because there will definitely a next time! If you are looking for some place for lunch, we strongly recommend heading to Smokin Barrel BBQ!
