The food is authentic south Indian food. Great vegan options, great meats prepared halal style. Everything is so flavorful. Guarantee you will crave & come back. Healthy servings, peaceful atmosphere. Good people great cooks.
Great food and service! Although I've been eating at The Taj for several years, they have really stepped up their game and deserve a 5 star review. The recent interior remodel turned out very nicely and now the space is quite cozy.
The food as always is flavorful and fresh but I think that now that they have a more limited menu, the food quality has gone up.
On our last visit we tried the plain Naan, aloo Gobi and vegetable samosa. The Naan was fresh, just the right balance between fluff and crisp and very large pieces. The aloo Gobi was very flavorful and very good portion size. Last but not least, the vegetable samosa with chutney was the best I've ever had.
Will be going back again!!
The Taj provided such a great dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious - we got mango chicken curry, malabar chicken curry, garlic naan, chili naan, and kashmiri naan. Both curries were rich with spice and flavor - spices rank from 1-10. All the naans were great, but the kashmiri naan was one I hadn't seen, and it was so worth trying!! It was almost like dessert. On top of the great food, the chef came out to greet us and the whole staff was very pleasant. Would recommend to anyone wanting some great Indian food!
Literally the best Indian food I have ever had. Lovely customer service, fast, and affordable. Definitely will come back to Omaha just for this restaurant.
By far the best Indo Chinese food we had in Omaha. We had schezuwan fried rice, hakka fried rice, veg korma and gobii manchurian, everything tasted delicious. Amazing chef’s, very friendly staff and good service. Would definitely recommend 👍🏼
this is the spot. I was not a fan of Indian food but this place changed that! The apps go for the chili chicken and the lollipops. The tenedori chicken is amazing! Rice and tikamasaka was amazing. (I might of misspell a couple words)
The best Indian food in town. I tried other places but NOTHING TOP TAJ. And yes they are open for dine in and take out. The food here always makes my taste buds dance. Loved it since day one and still loving it.

ITS SO FREAKING GOOD. We let our waiter pick our food for us (we're indian cuisine newbies) and it was all top notch. We shared meals. Go and plan to spend some time just eating , conversing, and drink tea, eat desserts. E n j o y your time

Today was the first time we have eaten here but it won’t be the last. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had the homemade samosas which were outstanding. The family that owns the restaurant made us feel very welcome and the service was very good. We will definitely come back with our family and would recommend it to anyone who likes Indian cuisine.

I love the new Taj decor and dining! It feels so cozy with the authentic Indian design and the new sweet potato samosas are magical. I can't wait to come back again! 💕 We dined in and I'm eating my carryout now at home. Really makes for a fabulous day!

Fantastic meal. Custom spice level; kids wanted mild, adults wanted full spice, we were all happy. Everything tasted fantastic. Friendly service. The chef even came out to check on us. Nice and quiet. Highly recommend! We will be back.
Don’t judge a book by its cover. Located in a strip mall, inside is tidy and spacious. Food is delicious, service is great. Based on the opinion of a local, the food is good and as good you will find outside of India.
They excelled at appetizers. The chicken lollipop and gobi Manchuria were delicious. The curry was also on point. Definitely a must try.
Bonus points for using a remote point of sale where the waiter will bring the terminal to your table to process the payment. Faster check out.

As a kid, the Taj was a family favorite. I hadn't been there in years, until tonight. I was afraid it wouldn't be as good as my memory, but I wasn't disappointed! I do miss the nicer feel of the neighborhood they used to be in, but the food is spot on. I got the mango curry. The sauce was amazingly creamy and full of flavor. The garlic naan was also a great amount of crispy.
Wow - great food and great service! You must visit The Taj Omaha is you like Indian food. The space is recently remodeled and is now very cozy and nice. The food is still spectacular and the staff very friendly. I appreciate the variety of vegetarian options and the naan is delicious!
