Review Vietnamese Asian Restaurant - Omaha

The decor is very unique- the plants that live the table are very well kept, and the overall layout is very comfortable. We didn't wait very long, and their selection is very hard to choose just one dish! Come hungry, their bowls are huge.

We stopped in for A quick bite. Ordered the pho (number 14) and the egg rolls. The food came out piping hot. The price point here felt lower than other Vietnamese restaurants with the food being good. Value brings it to an immediate 5 stars for me as there was nothing wrong and I feel you get your money's worth.

Place was busy, waiter didn’t speak to me on my pick up. My egg rolls were good and my stir fried pork with veggies was amazing as usual, I’ve been eating here for years. Very consistent flavors. I wish I knew how to make the sauce as im addicted to it!

I go here for one specific reason. Vietnamese egg rolls! The atmosphere is pretty chill. Not a big restaurant. About 10-12 tables.

We ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls, combination beef phở, and stir fried chicken. Everything tasted *delicious*, and the service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend visiting!

One of my favorite Omaha "go to" spots for a great bowl of delicious pho. Don't be fooled by the no frills atmosphere... this place is the real deal. Food is tasty and reasonably priced and portioned. Highly recommend.

Plentiful menu choices, excellent quality, appreciative ownership & service, fair pricing. Looking forward to return visit to try more menu items. Be sure to try spring rolls.

Awesome food at awesome prices, great service as well!

Love love love the food & service here ! The chicken banh mi comes wrapped in foil, so it’s nice & hot. The piping hot egg rolls, the Thai tea along with the service are the bomb !! The grilled flavor on the meat is what brings it all together !

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Omaha. Great Pho for a great price! Grab a menu and You sit yourself!

Best banh mi in town!

Love, love, love this place!! Out of all the restaurants in Omaha that we have tried for Pho this one is DEFINITELY the best. And incredibly affordable as well. If you haven't eaten here yet- run, don't walk and get some delicious Asian food!

Even though I am not too familiarize with the Vietnamese food..but my hubby & I have always enjoyed it. I come from the Philippines. Therefore, we both love most of the Asian cuisine..

Tried the Bun Bo Hue today. Very good! Will be back!

Really exceptional food. Atmosphere is dingy but the food was amazing. Had the spicy basil chicken. It was spicy and a huge portion. Also had the fresh spring rolls. Wish they put mint inside but the sauce was great.

Very affordable & Very Delicious! We've eaten here a few times now and have never been disappointed! Everything on the Menu is worth a try and you will not be sorry!

A nice little place with pretty good food. The staff was friendly and quick. I started out with an order of Vietnamese spring rolls. The 4 thin, crispy rolls were perfectly done. The accompanying peanut sauce was very light and enjoyable. Next, I had an order of the Thai hot and spicy soup. It had a unique flavor that I really liked. It was spicy, but not overly so. It was loaded with large slices of mushrooms and a few shrimp. I will get it again next time I come here. For my main dish I had the curry chicken. The flavor was much less intense then then most other curries I have had in the past, but I really liked this one. It was served with a plate of white rice. The curry itself was loaded with a lot of tender, juicy chicken and a large amount of thinly sliced bamboo shoots. It was a very enjoyable dish. I will be coming back again to try more of their selections on the menu.

Came here on a Saturday evening it was fully empty. Hidden away in the corner of a strip mall. Walk in to be greeted very politely & a big smile. The decor is not very well to put at the simplest but that should not detour you very clean space and the food was great. Ordered a spicy chicken stir fry. Something basic but very delicious.

Coming from India, the taste was a little too sweet for me but make no mistake .... It was awesome. I loved their shrimp and the guys were friendly . The place doesn't standout but it's the food that I care about and I had no complaints at all on that aspect.

Best Pho in town - and I have had it everywhere! Excellent flavor and ingredients are always fresh. The staff is courteous. Would have given these establishment a 5 star if it had better restrooms and ambience.

Please overlook the decor and bathrooms as its bad. I wish I could paint and decorat. The food is awesome fresh and owners are funny and nice. A bit of a laguage barrier but no worries. Best egg rolls. Soups. Even pad Thai thay I don't like anywhere. Bubble drinks are fun coffee drinks all good.

Thai spicy soup is the best thing ive eaten in Omaha in 8yrs here . Possibly the best soup I've ever eaten!! Curries and tofu spring rolls are fabulous as well. New favorite place to eat! Staff very friendly, can't wait to go back!

This is pretty much my go to place to eat. Chicken curry noodles is the best 6.99 you can spend in Omaha, period. It's veggies are totally fresh, chicken has no fat, sauce is killer. How can you lose?

Very Tasty. I liked the fried rice and would love to go back to try everything else on their menu. They had a lot to choose from. Nice and cozy inside and enjoyed the service.

Give this place your business!. I went with a few friends, and we all ordered different menu items. I expected my red curry with chicken would be good, but I didn't know it would be phenomenal. Worth every penny. I'll definitely be back! To the guy below complaining - we all saw a sign that explained they don't run credit cards under $10. Your loss, I guess.

The waiter was just rude. I went alone and had beef noodle soup and paid by debit card. The waiter says they don't accept a card with total pay less than $10. How come they don't put the note on the wall? All I saw in the cashier is the note saying that they don't accept check. I use to be a regular customer to have easy lunch on weekdays, but no more coz I don't walk around with cash. Bad service.

Great pho. We went for the pho and were certainly not disappointed. Everybody is raving about the pho for a good reason. We will be back. I would like to try more of the menu.
CaliEm
Good pho. Not amazing, like in california, but surprisingly good for the midwest. I also had the pork sandwich, also good, but lacking something special. I'd go there again if I need pho nearby.

If your looking for a place for some pho, this is a great place to go in omaha. Its family owned. They are friendly, prices are cheap, and food is good! Check it out.

Excellent Vietnamese dishes... Thai food so-so. Hole in the wall restaurant, basic decor, excellent Vietnamese food. The Thai dishes are definitely not their strong suit, so go elsewhere for that cuisine. But if you want good Vietnamese, here is the place to go.

Every time I've gone, I've had good, quick service. The Vietnamese dishes are tasty and filling, and not a huge dent in your wallet. I especially recommend the Bun Bo Hue. The egg rolls are good, but the Vietnamese spring rolls are even better (and their peanut sauce adds a nice touch to them).

Will be back for the Vietnamese, but the Thai side of the menu is not as impressive. The menu at the Vietnamese Asian Restaurant is somewhere in the neighborhood of half to 2/3rds Vietnamese and 1/3-1/2 Thai.

On a recent visit (our first) we sampled items from both sides of the menu.

The Vietnamese dishes we tried were delicious - thin, crispy and yummy Vietnamese egg rolls and a massive bowl of warm, savory, and wonderfully flavored Pho with fresh and flavorful add-ins. You have your choice of rare or well done beef in the pho as well, which is very nice.

The Thai side of the menu was less impressive to us. We tried the chicken satay and the yellow curry. The satay was decent, but far from memorable, and the curry was entirely too thin, watery, and "washed-out" in flavor. I suppose that with "Vietnamese" in the restaurant name and not "Thai" this could be expected, but it was still a bit disappointing.

The atmosphere is very "family-run hole-in-the-wall" which I don't mind at all and rather like sometimes, but don't come here if you are looking for high-class ambiance.

The prices are wonderfully low - for 2 entrees, 2 appetizers, and 2 (non-alcoholic) drinks, our bill was less than $30.

We will definitely be back to try more items from the Vietnamese side of the menu, but probably won't bother with the Thai side again.

Pho in Omaha?? YES!. VAR is the best place to go to if you are craving noodles in a bad way. They are not-expensive, everything on the menu tastes great and it's also pretty fast. The decorum could use some work, but that's not a biggie at all for me.

This is a wonderful spot to sit in and enjoy a dinner of pho or whatever kind of noodle your heart desires

Cute little place ran by a nice family. The pho was excellent! Still need to try the spring rolls!

Unfortunate Atmosphere. With at atmosphere this bland, the food's got to be well above mediocre to earn a return visit. I had the red curry chicken bowl, which was just okay. If the interior had been comfortable I would come back to try something else, but before the food even came out I'd already decided I wouldn't be back. If you've never been here, maybe get takeout first, so the restaurant itself doesn't detract from your judgement of the food, as it did mine.

Fast service with excellent prices! What more could you ask for?! Love their Pho and the price is the best I have found in Omaha!
Husker Food
Great food! Quick speedy service! Not expensive. Love the bubble drinks and vermicelli.

Go for the Pho. Best Pho place in Omaha...there aren't many to choose from. But for an authentic bowl of Pho that is similar to mom's this is the place.. Friendly and prompt service. The decor is a bit campy (most Viet restaurants are) but it's clean. Super affordable.

This is the only place in Omaha I will get Vietnamese. Definitely a hole in the wall. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable.

Great pho. Vermicelli blah. Atmosphere blah. the tables walls chairs booths floor are all the worst shades of green.

Pho and fish sauce. Tucked away in a small strip mall next to NFM on 72nd and Jones. The food is very good, especially #12 (Pho with everything). Grilled pork and beef dishes are also very good, as is the Pad Thai. The catfish clay pot is great. Love the lettuce wrap rolls with fish sauce. Everything is inexpensive (under $10), except for the six-course beef dinner, which I need to try one of these days. A nondescript interior, but the friendly waitstaff make up for it. Great, little place.

These were the biggest spring rolls we've ever had. One order had two spring rolls for $4 or something ridiculous like that.
