Review Panda House Chinese Restaurant - Omaha

First time here and it was a good trip. Heard about them having a small buffet and wanted to check it out. Should have checked on the hours of it... since it was closed when we got there. I didn't let that chase me away and we tried a few things. The crabragoon was a little disappointing as I couldn't taste anything besides the cream cheese. I enjoyed the egg drop soup and egg roll but he did not. The chicken fried rice was good and they slice their chicken instead of putting it into chucks with fat. He said his was lackluster and would not order it again if we ended up going back. The server was fabulous and our drinks were filled in a timely manner and she was the only one doing several duties... cashier, server, getting to go orders. Very impressed, she did it all with a smile. We plan on going back.

Dined at Panda House Chinese Restaurant and was blown away by the authentic flavors! The shrimp fired noodles, the chicken soup and mussel was exceptional. Highly recommended!

First time there and I can safely say that we will be back soon. Had the lunch buffet and all food was hot and delicious. Our waitress was awesome with a wonderful personality. As I said, food was great and a big shout out to the entire staff. Highly recommend them next time you're hungry.

One of those places you have to give her ratings. The selection of food is HUGE (almost want to take away a half-star because the menu given doesn't say what is in them, but you can get the actual info from menu on line). The food was great and plenty of it. The bathrooms are very clean and the hostess/waitresses are very polite and efficient. Nicely done.

Pleasantly surprised! I have never been to a Chinese restaurant that had such friendly service. Staff was so sweet and made sure all of our needs were met. Ordered fried dumplings, vegetable rice and noodles, egg drop soup, and crab Rangoon. All was fresh, hot and cooked to perfection. Food was not over sauced and light. Give this place a try, you won't regret it.

Delicious authentic Chinese / Taiwanese restaurant in Omaha near Oakview Mall. Our family loves every dish and buns from this restaurant. Owners are super friendly and courteous all the time. They recently remodeled the restaurant so it’s very clean and nice. If you are in the area, make sure you give it a try! A few of our favorites include dumplings, buns, green onion pancakes, and beef stew noodles. Bokchoi with mushroom is delicious as well.

This Chinese restaurant offers some more authentic dishes, and has a more authentic flavor to their sauces. We tried cashew chicken and Mongolian beef; both were very good! Just ask and they will serve you family style, with extra plates to eat off so you can share. Excellent service!

So glad we came to this restaurant to try Chinese / Taiwanese dishes! We came here twice and both times we had really awesome Chinese food! We really enjoyed beef noodle soup, lotus with fat belly pork, and green onion pancakes. Not only they have authentic Chinese food, their staff and owners are very friendly as well (under new ownership). If you don’t know what to order, you could ask for recommendations from the owner or server. By the way, this restaurant is located near Oak View Mall (144th and West Center area).

Everyone working there are always SO nice and accommodating! Even though it's quite a drive for me, this is the only place I'll get Chinese food in Omaha. It's that good. I highly recommend the General Chicken, eggdrop soup, and the egg rolls!

Very good food, I recommend the pork belly buns. Service was decent but not a lot of employees so a little slow when it got busy.

Discovered this place a few years ago and it immediately became my favorite Chinese restaurant in Omaha, the food is fantastic! The staff is wonderful as well. My girlfriend and I eat there at least once a week. My favorite things are the peanut butter chicken and the Hunan flower steak. Her favorites are tangerine and generals chicken. All of the sauces are always on point. They're always super willing to do things like add or substitute veggies. Highly recommended!

My husband and I went to try somewhere we had never been. My husband had a request for a dish that they do not have on the menu, they were very nice and made the dish for him which was EXCELLENT! I also had the Tangerine Beef and absolutely loved it. We will be back and recommend this to anyone to try. 🙂

Had a very nice meal here. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and talkative. We started out with some hot and sour soup. It was not the usual spicy, tangy soup that I am used to usually getting, but non the less it was very good. Instead it was very mild and loaded with bamboo shoots and mushrooms. My wife had the sweet and sour chicken and liked it very much. The sauce was not overly sweet like most places. The chicken was lightly battered and very tender. I had the triple delight and garlic sauce. Since I am a spicehead I ordered it spicy. It came out pretty mild for me. I asked for some chili sauce and they brought me some of the best sauce that I have ever had. The cup sized container was empty when I left. My triple delight was loaded with many pieces of shrimp, very tender large pieces of chicken, a few scallops and many vegetables. It was wonderfully good. It was garnished with a beautiful cut oriental radish cut to look like a rose. It also was very tasty. Our tea we were served was very good also. Neither one of us even considered putting any sweetener in it. We both agreed that we would be coming back soon to try more of the menu items. Try this place, you will not be disappointed.

The egg foo young here that my wife had is out of this world! The best I've ever had. Beef chow main witch I had, not so much. Edible though. Weird sauce almost bitter. Fried wontons great! Huge portions especially the egg foo youngs. Giant menu and big!
Prices resonable. In all it was a great labor day meal.

Long-time favorite. Of all of the Chinese Restaurants I have tried in Omaha, this is one of the top and has been a favorite for years.

Don't let the 80's decor scare you - the food is a cut above. Not even comparable to mose quick in quick out Chinese places.

Their hot an sour soup is the best I have had with strips of pork, straw mushrooms, bamboo shoots and a perfectly seasoned broth.

I have two favorite dishes - sesame chicken and hunan shrimp. The chicken is small chunks of chicken fried very crisp then bathed in a thick, rich and sweet (but not too sweet) sauce sprinkled with sesame seeds. The texture is what makes it so good - definitely not the soggy chicked nuggets you get elsewhere. The shrimp are decent sized and unbreaded, stirfried with fresh broccoli, baby corn, and a delicious and indescribable chili sauce. It has a little kick, but that is why I like it.

The Worst. The Lo Mein was just spaghetti with pork and canned mushrooms and the hot and sour soup tasted like Tabasco.

Best chinese in town. I have been eating here for years. Hot and sour soap is personal favorite. Great pricing and wonderful food, you just can't go wrong!

Great place. One of my favorite restaurants for Chinese. All the dishes are very tasty with a reasonable price and a healthy serving. Service has always been very quick and professional each visit. Highly recommend the Tangerine Chicken & the Crab Rangoon are some of the best around.

Really Good Food. I love Panda House. A beautiful restaurant tucked into a southwest Omaha strip mall. This place has been serving artfully crafted and presented Chinese food for over two decades. Yes, the menu is huge, as most Chinese menus are. And yes, the prices are low, befitting the genre. What stands out here is simply the overall dining experience. You are dining in an attractive urban Chinese restaurant. Befitting the restaurant's name, large artwork featuring pandas bedeck the walls. Service is prompt. We found the hot and sour soup to be excellent, as were the fried dumplings and especially the shrimp toast, which were plump and loaded with shrimp. The Royal Shrimp, on the other hand, was advertised as being spicy, which I wanted to experience. Unfortunately it was very mild, and while well cooked and ample in quantity, it lacked the pizzazz I was hoping for. Our other main dish, the Mandarin Pork, was very good.
I was advised at the end of our meal that customers can ask for any dish to be spiced up.
A full bar is offered. They have the excellent Tsing Tao beer, which goes perfect with Chinese food.
