Best stop in town! We try to make it once a week! The food is amazing and the staff super friendly! Our favorite place!!!
Best Home made Mexican food in Omaha! My favorite: Huarache with asada meat, everybody should try it!
Authentic Mexican food. La Casita is a staple for my family and I for authentic Mexican. The tacos are all made fresh, they have a variety of seafood options, and they're service is fantastic.
This place is by no means fancy- drinks are ordered by the bottle, and you'll occasionally have your conversations drowned out by loud ranchero music blaring from the jukebox in the back, but don't let that discourage you from coming.
Try the Chile Verde- pork riblets in a spicy green sauce. I have yet to find a better version of this dish elsewhere.
Tiny, fresh, strong, home-made. La Casita is the kind of place you might not even notice driving buy or recognize as a restaurant. It's a tiny storefront with more advertisements for phone cards than food, but it is dedicated to level of classic Mexican cuisine that has made it a favorite right away for me and a number of hispanic families and individuals dining in. Each item we ordered was perfect. My large portion of enchiladas had a top-notch red sauce. We ordered one margarita, but quickly ordered a second. Both were strong and delicious, as we like. I wanted chile relleno, but the sweet ladies in the kitchen told us through the small kitchen window by our table that it takes longer to prepare and they just hadn't finished yet--something that I can live with and a sign of respect for the food and its preparation. While sad to miss them, the enchiladas left no hole in my heart. My guest's nacho order was massive and enough for two. I think I could eat here daily if I could afford to; I'll be back very soon for some chiles.
Perhaps one of the best kept secrets in the city, La Casita is a friendly little house that serves quality, authentic Mexicuisine. You can go just for the food, or you can relax and sip a Michelada or margarita.
La Casita has a pretty large menu. You might be overwhelmed when reading it because the items are in Spanish but the descriptions are luckily in English. These are the types of places that serve the best and most authentic Mexican food. The hot salsa has some real good kick to it for you spice-lovers. I personally ordered the Milanesa which is the South American version of a German Schnitzel.
Are you kidding me? Hand made sopes and fresh from the grill meat is what ylu get @ La Casita. It was delightfull to have a REAL Mexican dish right here in Omaha. Thank you guys, keep up the good work!!
The steak super burrito here is amazing! To be honest the whole menu here is phenomenal, and the waiters here are very attentive and polite.
Here on a work trip and I love trying things away from the chains. I have now eaten there two days in a row.... authentic and very good! Friendly staff and I highly recommend the quesaberrias!! Delicious!
Being a Des Moines resident, and having visited Omaha in the past to try to find the most authentic Mexican restaurant, we have found it! My wife, daughter and I absolutely loved the food here. It tastes so fresh! This stuff is home made and made with actual ingredients that make you think your mom's cookin'! As soon as we walked in the server warmly greeted us. He was kind and very attentive to our needs. I placed an order and that is hard to meet, a "gordita" (a meat-stuffed thick corn tortilla) and man this was goood! My wife ordered 2 "sopes" (think corn tortilla with meat and toppings) and she loved them. My daughter ordered a plain "carne asada" (steak) taco; she ate it all! The "orchatas" (hispanic rice-cinnamon-vanilla drink) were off the hook. We will definitively be back to visit. We have found our spot!
Excellent food. This is an authentic restaurant that delivers on every plate. The tacos are great, the fajitas are wonderful and the service is superb. If my parents were in town I would bring them here for lunch.
Good authentic Mexican restaurant. My no. 1 combo with a taco and a enchilada was good, the green sauce on the enchilada was excellent, and the rice and beans were good as well. Chips come with bean dip and not the typical salsa and they come with a green and red salsa in bottles. Margaritas are decent and cheap.
Amazing Mexican food. Polite staff and a good price. Definitely worth a try!
My #1 favorite restaurant in Omaha. Staff is friendly, food is always on point, everything is made with love. Absolutely recommend it if you want authentic Mexican food. (I recommend the super burrito with green sauce.)
Decent food. Price point higher here than your average taqueria. The corn tortillas appear to be handmade and their green salsa is very flavorful. More so than the red. For 2 people to order a meal each and a drink cost 33 dollars not including a tip, so yeah pretty pricy. Due to that, we will probably not come here often.
