Awesome food and people. Buffet for lunch was fantastic. A variety of vegan options!!! Make sure to check their Facebook for daily and current lunch options and what they’re serving. The times we’ve been, all the veggies were great and tasty. Dishes were superb and I thought the naan bread was the best I’ve ever had. They made my brother and I Vegan bread that had whole wheat as well. I really liked the chickpea dish, Chana masala, and the one with the eggplant. Really all the dishes I thought were lovely. Here’s a couple pics of our experience here - I would definitely recommend this to everyone because they have chicken dishes and others constantly, super tasty I’m really impressed with reasonable price

Since we found The Taj Kabob and Curry we're hooked. The lunch buffet is fantastic. We also ordered some samosas and can only rate it as 12 out of 10. Bloody awesome. The chef has become like a personal friend to us and it is mind blowing to get this kind of personal attention from the chef and owner. Best Indian Restaurant in Omaha by a mile!!!

Easy to be Vegan in Omaha with gems like Taj While some Indian restaurants are comfortable with vegetarian cooking, this restaurant was comfortable cooking for vegans. When asked the server quickly explained which items on the buffet were suitable for vegans. Must be a popular place for veg as I heard another customer ask about vegetarian items on the menu! The server was consistently friendly and helpful. Combined with a pleasant atmosphere it made for a very pleasant, relaxing lunch. Food was hot and attractive on the buffet. Restaurant had a nice lunch crowd but not crowded or noisy. Easy to get to even from Bellevue. We had a great time for lunch. While only less than half the buffet was suitable for vegans, it was enough to make it worth the buffet price. If in this area of town again, this would be my choice for lunch again!

A restaurant cannot be rated just for the food alone. It's ambience, the service and the hospitality matters. The Taj not only just scores but exceeds expectations. We were traveling to Utah from the East Coast and stopped by for dinner based on great reviews. We had chicken 65, biryani and other lovely dishes. The chicken 65 is really tasty and spicy enough and my kid enjoyed it. The owner and chef took great care of us and we felt like family. If we were to visit Omaha again, we know where we are going to get our food. Thank you Omaha Taj.

I'm posting this kind of late but have meant to get on and do this since the first time I've eaten at the Taj. My significant other and I have been going there for a long time and it has become a tradition for us actually. They've changed owners a couple of times since we started going there but have loved both of the owners very much! The food is out of this world and the only Indian food I will eat! Keep up the good work! Actually keep up the excellent work!

Not the same Taj as we started visiting years ago. The chef is amazing and always adding new regional curries and flavors. If you are looking for something in particular let him know. I have been able to try so many amazing things in the past several months. If you have not been in a while or ever give them a try! The lunch buffet is well worth it!!!

Several years ago I came across an Indian Restaurant in another state and chanced dining there, it turned out to be a great idea, the chef there was a master indeed. Now, looking for a good place to eat in western Omaha I was informed of a newer place nearby, so with nothing to lose I decided to give them a try. Again, this was good fortune, the place may be a little "spartan" but the food was the best. As I was finishing my meal I mentioned to the server that I would like to thank the chef for his wonder fare, the chef then came to my table to humbly thank me for my comments and I then realized that is was the same chef from that other state many years before. Yes indeed, life can be full of pleasant surprises, I will be back whenever in the area.

Excellent Indian food. The variety they offer and the portions are well worth the price, which is fair, not overly priced. I enjoy the Lamb Biryani, which is authentic and which I believe to be the best in Omaha. Definitely recommend eating here!!

I had a birthday dinner here and they beautifully accommodated all 18 of us, a motley crew of omnivores, vegans, and vegetarians. (I called ahead and made a reservation). The service was friendly and the food was delicious! One of my favorite places in the city.

This is the best Indian I have had in Omaha! Fantastic! The curry sauce is great with chicken or lamb, and the Tikka masala is delicious! A very nice lunch buffet for a reasonable price. Their garlic Naan is delicious too. Takeout is offered. Definitely will be going back!

Delicious! Rich and filling, complex flavors, a friendly staff, and a backdrop of gentle Indian music made this a place I want to visit again. Spiciness is measured on an Indian scale, do you should order your dish a level down for your first visit. The Lamb biriyani was wonderful!

Best Chicken Tikka Masala+Almond Raisin Nan=Heaven! The buffet was $8 & some change AND includes a drink. Try and find that deal anywhere else! I've had co-workers from India take me to the Taj just because they like the food so much. The service has always been polite, attentive AND thankful.

We had the lunch buffet and enjoyed the food, though the variety was limited. Having never been there, we did not know the prices and no menu was offered nor was the buffet price displayed. While not cheap, it was not expensive. Ultimately, I would say their food and service were good and we will be returning to try the menu items.

Very good, basic Indian lunch buffet. All the expected chicken tikka massala, a couple of kinds of bread, some vegetarian and vegan selections, always good. My wife and I come here every few months when we both have a lunchtime off and we have never been disappointed.

Our first Indian food in Omaha at The Taj kabob and curry .They are pretty busy but service was good. As I get the menu coming to know it is cheep. Is the food good ? I hope it will be good because others are eating. We order Chicken Kurma, Chicken Tandoori and Chicken Briyani . Its took a while to get it.That is a good sign. When she brought its smells good. It was relay good food but the quantity of the food is less so as my thinking you need to increase the price and same time increase the quantity .We enjoy the food it was very good. we will come back. especially thanks for testy briyani . Please increase the quantity and price
