Jim's Rib Haven is and has been my favorite place for BBQ! You MUST have the saucy fries... if you are traveling for more than 20 minutes, get the sauce on the side so they're not mushy.
If you like a good heat that is not over powering, get the medium. Medium has a nice kick and adds the right heat to your meal.

On this day, our ribs were smokey and the sauce was good. I like my sauce a lot thicker, but this was not bad. The fries were the best and 15 mins later there were still piping hot. We liked it. The potato salad and baked beans were very, very good. Over all, the meats were not bad, but the sides were better. Didn't even have room for the cobbler. Next trip only sides and cobbler.

We got ourselves some massive meaty ribs for a decent price.
The inside isn't much to look at. It's quite sparse and most of the action is blocked off by a white counter wall. There are a few counter stools and a thin bar if you need to eat there, but it's not all that comfortable.
The ribs were a bit lean for my taste, but my friend prefers them that way, so it is a preference thing. The sauce was fine, but didn't stand out to me.
This was the third stop on our Omaha BBQ tour.
Service was interesting.
They have a small parking lot and a drive thru to serve you if you don't want to go out of the car.

Great food at this "joint" in North Omaha. The chicken dinner is huge -- a half chicken -- with large portions of sides. The potato salad is out of this world & the BBQ beans are worth the trip on their own. A real jewel.

Authentic and amazing. Such great traditional BBQ. Just as good as ever. Love the Baked beans, delicious sauce and the smoke smell as you wait to place an order. By the time you get your food, you are salivating! Definitely a place to return to!

Absolutely delicious ribs. Had the chicken, beef ribs and back ribs. The back ribs were outstanding. By far the best I have tried in town.

The sausage links were amazing. Get the spicy BBQ sauce and you won't regret it. The sides could use some work but I'll definitely be back to try more things. 👍🏻

Slab of ribs through the drive through as they are closing, five cars behind me, Google pay (NFC) was not working on my phone. Lady running the window SO patient and SO professional figured out the dilemma and kept a smile on the while time. The food was even better than the service.

This has been a neighborhood staple for years. Some of the best BBQ in the O. I love the rib tips and the sausage sandwich. I get the hot BBQ but it does hold a nice kick so if you're not really a spice person I would say go with the medium sauce.

They seem to always be out of the ribs we want but I highly recommend their chicken dinner 🤌🏽 WARNING: if you can’t handle heat, get MILD every time. Tried medium and ooof! Spicy!

We had almost given up and were headed to the old stand by chain restaurant when we saw Jim’s Rib Haven pop up. It was not much of a building but the staff helped us pick out the best value for feeding our family. We got enough for 3 boys to have 5-6 ribs each (biggest neatest ribs we’ve ever seen), 2 sides (which were amazing as well) and an awesome pulled Turkey sandwich for $48. Like my kids said the ribs looked like the ones from he Flintstones…and they weren’t far off!! Only downside is there is very little indoor seating…only enough for 2-3 people to eat at a counter but there was a nice park down the road so it worked out great!

The OG of Omaha BBQ. Old school takeout. Got myself a bony box with medium sauce. Comes in a styrofoam clamshell packed with rib tips topped with a couple slices of bread and secured with a tooth pick. Some BBQ purists might scoff at wheat bread instead of Wonder bread but you're not going to Jim's Rib Haven for the bread, are you?

I visited yesterday for the first time. The two ladies behind the counter were friendly and warm and provided prompt, cheerful service. I had the pulled pork sandwich and beans. The sandwich was overflowing with pork and mild sauce: deliciously messy and generously proportioned. I wasn't much of a smoke taste to the pork; it was moist and good but I would have guessed it was cooked on the stove, not in a smoker. The mild sauce was tangy and good: not too sweet or sharp. The beans were soft and flavorful. Overall good!

Listen, if you don't try anything else fr here, you HAVE to try their peach cobbler!! I bought the pint and it didnt even last two days (I'm not embarrased) in our house. Oh, that pulled pork sandwich is the truth! I've had one two days in a row and thinking about a third. I paired it with their spicy bbq sauce and it was really spicy how I like it. Highly recommend .

I have been here approximately 10 times in the last 20 years. At first that probably doesn't sound very impressive but when I add the fact that I live 250 miles away should tell you something! Great food and friendly staff. Their menu features beef and pork ribs, chicken, brisket, sandwiches, fries, baked beans, cole slaw, potatoes salad, etc. Jim's has been around forever and has the atmosphere to prove it. Cool place with great people and great food.

This place has never let's me down. Food is always good. Only thing, is I wish they would do take out and delivery. I think they would profit so much more. Everyone I know love this place. I believe take out and delivery would be a game changer for them.
