Stopped through on our journey from Iowa to California. This place was absolutely amazing. Pita bread was warm and soft, tomatos were fresh and juicy, and the meat was cooked to the perfect crisp. Baklava was quite expensive but tasty! Would return if we ever get the chance.

Previous trips to Legacy Gyros have been great... so much so that I had almost completely filled my punch card (for a free gyro). I was disappointed to learn the restaurant is under different management now, and that program was discontinued.
Regardless, the gyro was pretty good, but the fries were great. The kitchen staff was very meticulous about weighing all of the portions, and everything is made to order, so it took a few minutes.

I really wish we had gone to Legacy when I first saw it, from Center St, 2 years ago. My hubs and I both thought our gyros were amazing. Hubs said his was better than the one he had at Greek Islands. Lots of flavorful, crispy pieces of meat with the right amount of salt. Not too spicy--or bland... Just a lot of deliciousness. I also ordered the Turkish Red Lentil Soup--which I will pass on next time. We will definitely be back for gyros again!

Great gyro place in west Omaha. I heard this place had great gyros and they did not disappoint. They offer lots of variety for Greek food for everyone. The gyro had great flavor and was a perfect size for lunch. Will definitely eat here again and will try some of their other offerings. Plus I am excited they offer Turkish coffee and will most definitely try at another visit. If you like gyros and Greek offerings this place is worth your visit.

A delicious Gyro flatbread filled to bursting with garlicky, herbed, crisped strips of Greek beef! much flavor and the texture was just perfect. And the French fries were fresh! Great service and even some Turkish candy! The kid liked it too! (7.29$ for beef gyro) please press the thumbs up button below!

I was there were ten stars!!!!!!!!!! A friend just brought this home to share with me and I am beyond excited! I can not even say enough good things about your baklava, by far the best I’ve ever had. It was an experience in and of itself and I have goosebumps! SO FABULOUS!!

Food is Amazing! Chicken over rice is very delicious! Great customer service! Gyro meat is crispy and tasteful, fresh salad and overall great experience!

Absolutely my favorite Greek restaurant. So fresh, well-spiced, and delicious! The owner and his wife are fabulous people and so welcoming every time we go. We've eaten here for years and quality never changes. The veggie gyro and gyro supreme with fries are the favorites.

If you want authentic and always delicious gyros come here. The manager is super on top of everything and very friendly. It's nice to see such a well maintained and ran business nowadays. Always stop here when I'm in the mood and in the area. Try the baklava!

I’m from Boston and this place almost makes me want to move out here. The gyro combo and baklava were superb. Thank you!

I never post reviews, but this was a most excellent meal. Had a Gyro Platter. Great salad with fresh, tasty tomato slices. Huge side order of really nice feta. Gyro meat hot, moist and well seasoned. Very flavorful Greek potatoes as well. Finished off with some delicious, flaky Baklava. In my experience which at 68 is substantial, this is hands down the best Greek meal in this Metro!

This place is wonderful! The options to choose from are incredible. Not just the main courses, the side items and desserts should get just as much attention! Very friendly service, our order arrived in a timely manner, and it was Delicious! Can’t wait to go back to get the Kearney Gyro! 👌

Amazing food! My favorite is the gyros on rice. My family and I have enjoyed this food for two and a half years (since we moved to Omaha) and it is always fresh and delicious.

Legacy Gyros is the best place I have tried for Gyros in Omaha. Their tzatziki is unmatched anywhere else. I have never had a bad experience here.

Wow! First time ordered from Grubhub. Ordered Gyro Supreme- Excellent!!! Yum!!! Definitely getting this again!

Super yummy and fresh. Not salty like some gyros I’ve had in the past. Really enjoyed it and will be back for more!

The best gyros in Omaha. You can get a gyro combo card where the 10th one is free. They also have decent vegetarian options and salads as well.

I stopped with a friend for lunch. We had a hard time finding the place because it is located around the back side of a strip mall. I wish we had not found it. Our small gyros were very much lacking flavor. The meat was slightly dry and very underseasoned. They were topped with a lot of sliced onion and 2 very thin tasteless slices of tomato. We also shared an order of fried breaded zucchini. The breading was the only part of them that was good. The slices of zucchini were very thin and lacked any flavor at all. We will not be going back again.

I stopped in here for lunch on a Saturday in December. Typical gyros restaurant concept. Order at the counter. Grab your utensils, condiments, and drink and they bring your food to you.

I ordered the Gyros in a combo, so I got a drink and Greek Potatoes with it (fries were also an option). The gyros was good. Not as largely portioned as I've had at most other gyros restaurants. Their gyros has a slightly different taste than what I am used to. Not bad by any means, but just a bit different. Gyros comes with gyros meat, tomatoes, onions, and Tzatziki on a pita. Tzatziki is in a cup on the side so you can control the portion. Greek potatoes were good, but a little undercooked. Overall, an above average gyros meal, but not great.

They have a "Combo Card" you can get that they'll punch every time you order a combo. After 7 punches you get the 8th combo meal for free. Tuesdays are double-punch days.

Baklava was good, but a little soggy and bit overpriced ($3.50/piece)

No fresh brewed iced tea. They have fountain iced tea (iced tea from concentrate) that uses deceptive dispensers to make you think you're getting fresh brewer iced tea, but you can see the fountain lines coming out of the back of the containers and it has that off taste that fountain iced tea gets. Please switch to FRESH brewed tea. You wouldn't serve your customers instant coffee, would you? No. So, why serve them tea made from concentrate?

I guess I was a little underwhelmed. Given the average reviews at the time I visited this place I was expecting to be blown away by some of the best gyros I've ever eaten. That didn't happen.

Service was friendly and the kitchen was fast.

Restaurant was clean and well-maintained.

The best.... We have been eating here for many years on a regular basis. It is our favorite Greek/Turkish place in Omaha. The food is excellent, prices are good, and the owner would do anything to make you happy. Very friendly and clean atmosphere. We usually go during non-peak hours to enjoy the meal in a more quite environment. We got to know the owner and his staff and family a little, so he always makes us feel at home. You have to try the Turkish coffee - it is awesome. Being mostly vegetarian, I particularly like the rice, the veggie gyros, the falafel, and the coffee. My family would always get the gyros, including my kids who love it. And the baklava!! We used to love the ouzo too...

High quality food. Nice place t sit down in or out. Had beef kabob and chicken gyro. Both excellent

$$$$$$$$$. I feel as though Omaha has really good options for Greek and/or mediterranean food. I'm sure we have dined at all of them through the years. Legacy Gyros has good food but they are way overpriced. When I mentioned this to a co-worker this morning, he replied :" my wife and I quit going there because of the prices ". Maybe thats why the place was empty last night. We will take our business elsewhere.

Still hungry. We ordered an appetizer and each got a gyro and both of us were still hungry afterwards. Although everything we got was delicious, the price doesn't reflect how much food you get.
Nahallacg
OVERPRICED. Gyro was good but portion small and overpriced.

I have ordered carry out and dined in. Each time I have experienced a clean environment and friendly service, making it easy to enjoy the best veggie gyro on the planet!

Great food Great price Gre.... Great food
Great price
Great service
This is the type of place you go once. It's the type of place you frequent and tell others about.

Love Legacy Gyros. Great hummus and feisty feta dip. The Greek salad with gyro meat is excellent.
Loves To Eat
Great Gyros. We ordered gyros, hummus , dolmades, spanikopita and baklava. All were excellent. The gyros and baklava are the best in town. Way better than Feta's. The dolmades were fresh. The only slight negative is that the spanikopita was warmed in a microwave and was not crisp. Returned the next weekend for another great meal. We will go back again.

Yummy falafel! Crunchy outside tasty inside. The tabooli salad on the falafel made it more interesting than an average falafel. Greek potatoes were yummy also. I have had the gyro in the past and it definitelyhits the gyro craving spot! Will definitely be coming back!

They started out great. But they really started skimping on the meat. My friend ordered extra meat, paid for it and got the same meat as I did. However, neither were piled as high as a lot of other quick dine Greek restaurants. So we started going elsewhere. Good fries though.

Delish!. I was skeptical about the authenticity of this place with its location and seemingly American name but the owner greeted us and made sure to reemphasize the freshness of their food (he was not lying). Their gyros are different than I have had at other middle eastern restaurants, hummus does not come with any of them, but it was delicious all the same.

Great food, Great Owner. When my fiance and I eat here, we are greeted with a huge smile and boisterous happy attitude from the owner. The staff, in general, is extremely friendly.

Come on Tuesdays for Double Punch Card day when you buy a combo meal. They add up quick, and it saves us a few bucks to use on their AMAZING baklava. I would eat an entire pan if I didn't think it would go straight to my spare tire. They are SO good, my love handles would evolve more into love sacks - you know, those huge bean bag chairs - remember them? :-)
Frequent Diner
Very Good. Excellent addition to Legacy. Wonderful appetizers, like the hummus sampler with chips and the Feisty Feta Dip. Loved the Greek Salad and the gyro meat. Will go back for more!

I have been to many Greek restaurants, enjoying most Greek food and I always wished we had one out in west Omaha, and now we do. Legacy Gyros has a great location and great potential, when I went there I was the only one but understandable for it being 4pm and the employee who served me was very nice and made my gyro supreme delicious, I felt it slightly expensive but nothing big enough to complain about just may reduce my frequency, but most defiantly will return! Good job and good luck!

More than just gyros. Stopped by for the first time tonight and was impressed. The typical gyro shop normally has a pretty limited menu.
This is more of a fast food Greek restaurant with a varied menu from appetizers to desserts. You can even get Greek beers, wines or a shot of Ouzo.

To keep it simple on my first visit, I ordered the gyros supreme, fries, and a drink. Reasonably priced for about $10.

The gyros supreme has cheese, grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms. Not a traditional gyro but it really works. Kind of a cross between a gyro and a Philly steak sandwich. Tasted excellent. Well seasoned juicy meat, crisp veggies all wrapped in fresh toasted pita bread. For the purists out there, you can get a traditional gyro with onions and tomato. The portions were not huge but plenty to fill you up.

The restaurant staff was friendly and happy to give recommendations. I will be back to try the kabobs and saganaki. If you like gyros at all, this is definitely worth a stop.

Good Flavor!. We tried Legacy Gyros for the fist time. I spent more than I usually would for a similiar meal elsewhere. The portions were adequate but usually for less money we have leftovers to take home.

On the plus side, the flavors were fantastic on the falafel and tzatzki! I can't remember the last time I had falafel this good in a restaurant. Yummy! Tzatzki was very tasty as well. Not the best (Jim & Jennies still has them beat) but in our top favs.

The down side was that, while the salad was beautifully presented, the dressing that came on the side was all oil and lacked flavor. I had to add salt and pepper to get any taste.

Great little place tho, I will definately be returning!

Greek is..... I'm fascinated by how many employees from Feta's have written reviews on Legacy Gyro's. It's like a commercial for Fetas. I can guarantee you Feta's is nothing to write home about. Legacy is not overpriced - it is priced typical for a greek restaurant. The portions are fine, and the gyro meat is well seasoned. They DO cook the meat a bit more than typically, but I LOVE it like that. Their Tzatziki sauce is great. I suggest you try Legacy, and then Feta - you will realize that those who are partial to Feta are on their payrolls.

Awesome! I love Fetas but this place is way better. The baklava is crazy good.
Fred Smithers
Service was stand up. The guys working were so nice. However my review will echo the others. Go to feta's. Food was so darn over priced and the portions so small. And you smell like a fry pan when you leave. Food was ok. Gyro meat was crispy and over cooked. Thank goodness I had the groupon to use and i didn't pay full price.

Fantastic!. I came here a few days after they opened and everything we had was amazing. I had a veggie gyro and my bf had a chicken. They were both delicious. We also got the fried zucchini chips, the beer battered fries and an Athenian salad along with some baklava for dessert. It was all very delicious, the baklava was extremely fresh and some of the best I have ever had. All of the ingredients were very fresh and I will definitely be returning here many times!! Thank you!

Food was fine but very overpriced. Take my advice and drive a few more blocks to Fetas. Better food and better prices.
Ronicca Townsend
The loaded gyro tastes like a gross cheeseburger. When is says cheese, its not feta, its Cheddar cheese... the meat is tasteless.
