The Oven Old Market - Omaha - Photo album

Return visit: Food remains consistent. We ordered the vegetarian thali. I would recommend that due to the variety. The seafood combo Madras was good but not my favorite. I think they used polluck as part of the seafood. There was a decent amount of scallops. The soup is very good, with a bit of spic
First time trying indian cuisine. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They also made excellent recommendations. The ambiance was relaxing and upscale perfect for a date night or a family dinner. I forgot pictures but the samosas and lassis are also fantastic!
Very good take on Indian food, the only thing that would make it better is if they stopped using only white meat and used the traditional dark meat cuts that one would find in Indian food. Over all this is a great place to enjoy some flavorful and spicy Eastern cuisine.
The waiter was very nice, very nice looking shop. Had a full bar, able to order a drink I made up, and he was very patient when taking orders but still on top of everything. The food was very very good. Beautiful colors and everything was tasty. We left very full with left overs to look forward too.
First experience with Indian food in a very long time and it was greatly enjoyed. I ordered the chicken tikka mahkani which came in a large serving and was very flavorful. We enjoyed our pakoras appetizers as well. I also recommend a mango lassi as a nice compliment with the meal.
A great place to eat. I will tell you in 5 steps what made this a great experience. 1. The staff were nice enough to help us with the menu, and tell us what is in each dish. (they were really descriptive). With the help of the waiter, I got something that I really loved. (Vindaloo was amazing) 2. Th
Great little place in olde market. Food was fantastic and price was very reasonable. Definitely check it out!!
The Oven is a very friendly place. My wife and I go there and always get top-notch customer service. So to begin with, it is always best for you to call ahead and make reservations. This is a very small restaurant with limited seating, and on prime traffic nights this place can stay full with lines
An excellent restaurant! Food is very good, service is attentive and friendly without hovering, and the atmosphere works for most situations (from dates to business). Loses a star for variability of food quality -- some days the food is excellent and is some of the best Indian cuisine I've had; othe
Always love the staff here, even the newer staff works their harest! You can tell that they strive to teach waiters to work hard and be attentive, friendly and timely. Also, we were in a huge rush this night and called ahead with our order, we were able to still sit and eat our dinner, fast but enjo
The food was fantastic. The non-vegetarian Thali was a great option, it's enough food for 3 people. The atmosphere of the restaurant is not the best, it took almost an hour to get our food, they seemed very short staffed. Also, they charge 20% gratuity for a group of 6, so keep that in mind. We were
Such very good Insian cuisine ! Great service, Really good cocktails. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Answered all of my questions about items on the menu.. ( spicy, not spicy etc.. ) I will always go back , I believe this was my 3rd visit !!! Prices are moderate. 2 of us had appetizer,
Fantastic food. Their mulagatani is some of the best I have had in town. Their house specials are fantastic. Would I get a cocktail here? I don't know maybe stick to local bars. But is the Indian food perfect? Yes.
The food alone is amazing, the lamb korma is my particular favorite. Even at the half size, the appetizer tray is very filling for two and gives a great variety. The drinks are a bit on the heavy pour side so good content for the money but abit strong. The location is fantastic if you're in the old
We go for lunch often and the staff is wonderful. If one needs suggestions, or assistance with the various selections, they are fabulous. The food is plentiful, hot and delicious and the entire place is spotless. We definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great place for authentic Indian food. I had the Goa Shrimp and it was delicious, came with basmati rice and a salad for $16. Very friendly wait staff too. Only draw back was the wait time, probably close to 20 min but most likely because they make it fresh.
