Whaler

So this is a shout out to Laura the bartender at this bar. Or should I say “her bar”. Most suspicious bar tender I’ve ever encountered. She has taken my ID and passed it down the bar to men I have not seen a day in my life to “verify its real”. She has been over the top disrespectful to me and my friends every time we come into this bar. She accused my friend of being intoxicated. Which it’s a bar… isn’t that the point?? Anyway. The accusation was wrong. She was the designated driver & Laura’s reasoning for us getting kicked out was because we “went to the bathroom first instead of ordering a drink” Laura straight up admitted to that is why we were getting kicked out… because we I went pee before I ordered a drink HAHAHA. Insane. Then she says “see the people getting in a fight over there? I thought you were with them so that’s another reason I asked you to leave” she pointed to a group of people getting in a fight and said that’s why WE were getting kicked out. GO DEAL WITH THE PEOPLE FIGHTING. So wack. This review was jumping all over the place but what I’m trying to say is if you’re a group of pretty girls avoid this bar unless you want to be disrespected to the max!!!

I came in a week or so ago and ordered a few drinks. I had asked for a crown and ginger. The first one was great. Ordered another watched the bartender pick up the empty bottle. Drop it below and pick up jameson. When I tried it I questioned her even though I watched her make the drink. She reassured me that it was crown, did not like being lied to. The other people around were nice and the drink wasn't bad just didn't appreciate the lie.

On this visit: The bartender made a killer long island ice tea,,outdoor seating leaves a little to be desired,staring into an empty parking lot, not there fault . OOB is a ghost town compared to normal years ,but the Whaler is Open,,,so got a couple more teas,paid a little foward a bought a round for the ten patrons and gave the bartender a nice one. Grateful !
