Great spot for papusas! The cheese stretch went to the roof! The plantains were sweet, tangy, and the sauce was creamy and tangy as well and complimented the plantains well. The papusas are $3.50 each and I got three of the pork and cheese ones. The slaw-type dish and tomato salsa compliment it as well. Nice zesty tang to add to the savory, cheesy, and flavorful meat inside the fresh from the pan corn mixed fried around it all. I ain't got auntie hands, so I had to let it cool before ripping and dipping. Well worth the stop and a great price. Didn't leave hungry as well and the waiter was cool.

Everything tasted amazing. Originally went for some pupusas but decided to get the sampler dinner and get food for everyone. Excellent choice :)

I had never had a pupusa before so I made a point to try some at Pupuseria Mi Chalateca. If you aren't familiar with a pupusa, it is like a quesadilla where the tortilla part is made out of corn meal, but not like a regular corn tortilla. Fresh pupusas are very good here. I tried several and found the jalapeño version to be my favorite. If you go on Tuesday, you will get an extra pupusa free with an order of three. I really liked the tacos here. They are $2 each and you get a choice of carne asada or shrimp. Both options were delicious. Chicharrónes and pastelitos are good as well. All food is cooked to order and each time I have ordered takeout, I have had to wait 30-40 minutes for my food. I checked the online ordering option but the prices don't seem to match up to the menu in the restaurant. For example, pupusas are $12.99 online but only $3 in the restaurant. Check out Pupuseria Mi Chalateca if you are in the area - I definitely recommend it!

I have been to Pupuseria Mi Chalateca a few times and they never disappoint. It is owned by a super sweet couple that are really personable and intensional about serving everyone. With the great service and wonderful food it is a wonderful way to end a day. I love the pupusas but my favorite thing to get are their amazing tamales.

This is a great stop for authentic El Salvadorian Pupusas. We got cheese and pork and cheese and bean along with an order of plaintains. Great choices! The pupusas were large with the tortilla covering thin. Really a great place to get a good meal!

Our first time, we ordered ahead online. The ordering system is slightly confusing, but they talked me thru it on the phone. We almost accidently ordered FOUR pupusa loca which is truly loca. Huge and delicious. And I loved my loroco y queso. Definitely recommend. We spent about $15 per person, but we all have enough leftovers for one or TWO more meals! Wonderful!

This place has the best pupusas in the metro. If you’re looking for authentic Salvadoran food then this if your spot. I tried the pastelitos for the first time here and now I get an order every time I visit. 10/10
