El Fogoncito - Oklahoma City - Photo album

As I entered the restaurant I could tell the food was going to be good and it was! I ordered the green cheese enchiladas which were satisfying while my friend ordered the carne asada burrito and carne asada tacos. Both very good. The service could definitely use some work but food is bomb.
Fantastic quality authentic Mexican food, great selection of fresh meats, handmade bread and tortillas, and friendly owner who makes sure you're taken care of. Definitely coming back to try more!
I mostly enjoyed my time here! Food was good, the tortillas were maybe a tad smaller than ideal, but no worries. Also I didn't notice any lighting so it felt pretty dark. Definitely will come again!
Was such an unexpected treat with amazing tacos. Heard the chorizo and Barbacoa is really good! Will definitely be going back!
So delicious. Went to Belize last October and it taste just like the tacos we had there!
Pretty decent food...had appetizer queso with mushrooms,(pastor...too robust flavor for my taste),and asada.. Not bad!! Try the churros!!
The new owner is extremely nice. The tacos and sauces were great! I prefer salsa naranja.
I️ really like the food and I️ love the design of the restaurant. My only real complaint is the lighting at night. It is a harsh, arctic white. Softer, warmer lights could really improve the atmosphere. Tacos are delicious. Even in bulk.
Nice authentic place that just opened up. The food is absolutely killer. You can't go wrong with the Al pastor mix. The queso is thick and rich, and their hot sauces are really flavorful, though serious spice heads may find the habanero sauce on the mild side. The $10-13 meals are generously portion
We ate lunch there today and enjoyed the soup appetizer. The food had depth of flavor and not heavy like most Mexican food restaurants. Wait was a little long probably due to the newness of the restaurant. We didn’t mind because it was worth the wait.
Objectively great food. Asada tacos were the best I've had in OKC (with maybe one Mexican grocery store taqueria coming in close second.) Subjectively it was a great experience. Friendly staff and good food. I loved everything I had. Will definitely be back.
I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. Not only was the food absolutely amazing, the owner Emilio is a real stand up guy! I won't go into full detail but he did not know me from Adam but when he noticed I was struggling, he came through for me and fed me and my family, free of charg
This place is a cute down to earth place. Great tacos, Pozole and Micheladas.
Visited on Saturday March 10, 2018, ordered the Queso Fundido and Mummies as appetizers, both were delicious. I ordered the street tacos, (beef, pork, chicken, chorizo) and they were good but the chorizo was a bit too salty for me. My wife ordered the beef taco and loved it.
Delicious! Walked in just before close and was treated with great respect, definitely worth it!
This place feels like a hidden gem that I'm glad we found. We will revisit again. Food was quick, the Street Tacos were great, and the free chips and queso was very unexpected but appreciated. Would highly recommend.
