If you want a thick, real burger that tastes fresh and is juicy and flavorful, this is the place. I had the Maui Cowi Burger, a super delicious Hawaiian Burger complete with a pineapple slice and sweet teriyaki sauce and my husband had the Mad Cow Burger. Plus the service was quick and the customer service is top notch! Don't miss this local eatery right in downtown OKC next to Leadership Square.

Finger licking good, great portions, wonderful breakfast, and lunch selections. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Candice and I ate and talked, laughed and ate some more... 5 🌟 All day.
I seem to always forget this place exists. When it opened years ago on another part of town, it was a packed place for some time. This location is only easy to get to on bike or foot. The burgers are solid and always have a great flavor. Today I got the BBQ Burger and tots. The tots were a little mushy for my liking, but still tasted great. The Burger lacked the heat I was looking for, but it was still very satisfying. If you are downtown during breakfast or lunch, this is a consistent spot with a lot of tasty options. Enjoy!
Food was great! A friend told me about this place. The employees seemed rushed and busy, as it was the lunch time rush, but I felt like I was being a nuisance to them for being there when I asked them about the menu.
If you want the best down and dirty, pure meat and cheese burger in OKC, come to this place! I ordered the Triple Lucy, which is three 3 oz patties, 3 slices of cheese, and pickles! The burger meat here is amazing! I would say, probably in the Top 5 burgers in my life! Onion rings are crispy and wonderful. They have many more burgers, such as the Oklahoma original onion burger and a Lucy in any size from a single to quadruple! Chicken strips weren’t bad either (for the nephew). Check it out peeps!! Two Thumbs Up and a happy belly!!!
Burger was great, but I was given too little sweet potato fries to justify a dollar upcharge.
We were in town for the Van Gogh exhibition and had planned to go to Nick's Grill, but they were unexpectedly closed. So, we "stumbled" upon The Cow Calf-Hay. We're glad we did!
We had the Mad Cow, Maui Cowi, and the Taco Burgers. We chose reg fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings as our sides. All 3 burgers were delicious, but the Taco completely won the day! It deserves a permanent place on the printed menu. The sides were good, but I thought the onion rings were too corn-mealy. They tasted fine; it was a texture thing for me.
It was a standard downtown diner atmosphere, with a nice view of surrounding buildings. It was clean, which is paramount, and the service was friendly.
All in all, it is a good find in the heart of the city. However, the Taco burger alone will bring us back! 😋
Excellent burgers, good grilled onions, and good quantity of food for the price. Many varieties on the menu to choose from.
My ultimate chicken sandwich was BUSTING, for real. Absolutely delicious. The fries are a little lackluster, but I got the side salad (lettuce, tomato, lots of fried onion) and was happy with it. The interior is insanely well done. Cute stop downtown after the Memorial Museum.
Great food and great service! I called in a burger 30 minutes early and it was hot and ready when I got there. It's the place to eat if you have to be down town okc!
Their burgers don't look like anything special, but are hands down some of the best burgers I've ever tasted. Easily top 3!
I came here on a lunch break and got my food quickly despite how busy they were at the time. I ordered the Ultimate Chicken Sandwich and was not disappointed at all.
The Onion Rings were good, but I wish I had asked for another container of their sauce! We were able to get seated with just two of us, despite the lunch crowd that came in before us.
I look forward to going back again to try one of their burgers. Overall a very pleasant experience!
