We took our meal to go but I wish we stayed. It was a lovely experience eating BBQ from an Award winning professional. Our BBQ Pit Boss allowed us behind the scenes to see all of their awards. You do not win these awards by being mediocre…I wish you could smell these photos!! Get in your car and drive out and taste this BBQ…I guarantee you will walk away a happy camper.
Jo-Bawb is the real deal, this is barbecue focused on quality and nothing gets in his way. We’ve got a lot of award winning bbq in the metro, but you can tell Jo-Bawb is a pro and also a treat to talk to serving up the best brisket in the city and best burnt ends from here to KC. Swing by earlier rather than later because he sells out quick!

I'm from Massachusetts so I may not be the best expert on BBQ. But when the burnt ends literally melts in your mouth, you know Jo-Bawb's is doing it right. Very friendly people, I tried the brisket, burnt ends, jalapeno sausage, ribs, Texas toast, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. Everything was juicy, flavorful, yet not over salty like other BBQ can be. Very easy to pay via credit card, and there's a nice outdoor/indoor setting with six tables that can easily fit 4-6 people, this is a BBQ spot you can't afford to miss. I arrived at 12:10 pm, make sure to get here early.
We had ribs, burnt ends, beans and mac and cheese. Everything was good and the prices are good for BBQ! The ribs were the best thing on the table but the burnt ends are also very good, only had one bite that was a little off taste. Overall, we were very happy with everything we had there and pleasantly surprised for a place we've never heard of!
Got there at 11 on a Saturday and was first but the parking lot had 5 cars (multiple people per car) by 11:10 when i left. They close when the food is gone.
Got ribs, jalapeños sausage, pork sandwich and all four sides. Don't miss out on the ribs and the Mac and cheese, so good. The sausage was good but I'll try something else next time. Potatoes salad was really good and chunky. Beans were solid and smokey. Cole slaw needed more something, not sure what... it was crisp which was good.
The inside seating is a very cool add on, even has a restroom.
Prices have increased from what i saw on the website so reference the image (you'll have to zoom in due to the glare, sorry).
Over all very good stuff...I know why they won so many contests. Best ribs around in my humble but correct opinion. I'll try the brisket and burnt end next time!
This place rules. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is as authentic as it gets, and the lady who takes your order is a sweet as can be.
Just passing thru trying to find my way somewhere and happened upon this *Spot, had to return to try and was greeted by friendly, smiling, professional Host n Hostess! She offered a taste test of the burnt ends brisket and me not ever liking this no matter where I've tried, #delish does not do it justice! Ordered Ribs, BB, Macaroni it was all #1, got to see the Numerous State Trophy Room, just enjoyed the short tour as much as I did the food!* We will be making this out BBQ go to place, It was straight worth it, none can compare #fr
They were able to prep a 40-person pick-up order for us with a few days notice. They double checked to ensure we had everything for the party before sending us on our way. They also included a small pack of disposable tongs and serving spoons which was very helpful as we hadn't considered that with all the other planning going on. We had pretty much everything on the menu and no complaints whatsoever. Just wish we had ordered more of the Mac n Cheese, that was a huge hit.
Dang it! We’ve been missing this GREAT BBQ right down the street! I’ve driven by this place a million times and never stopped in… 🥲. Wife and her friend stopped in and I just had some of the best sausage and burnt ends I’ve ever had! I’ll be checking Jo-Bawb’s out again real soon! 💪💪
