1/2 Pounds Hamburger Steak with 2 Sides. $4.50 only! Unbelievably cheap and yummy!
Very cheap, and they do have good food but it depends on what you order. I love their breakfast stuff, the jalapeno poppers (not the correct name but the equivalent) the stew and cornbread is my favorite! I wouldn't really recommend the hamburger steak or the steaks, but the biscuits and gravy are bomb. Our waitresses have been sweet and attentive each of the four times we've been. I like it.
Good Food and Good Service. This is one of my favorite breakfast places. The prices are reasonable, the service is good, and the food is on your table quickly....and cooked as you like.
Guilty pleasure. This place is crazy cheap and offers typical diner quality food. Definitely not anywhere I'd take a date, but for a group of friends that want to sit in a yellow-walled, smoke-filled room and eat some grease, it's wonderful. Breakfast is always a good choice here, but for the price, I'd take one of their burgers over McDonald's any day. Service is usually good too, with friendly waitresses. If you want to pig out, you can get a dinner with 2 sides, a salad, cake, and a drink for around $7.50. Or skip the drink, salad and cake and get it for $4.50.
You get what you pay for !. Cheap food ! Not the best and not the worst ! Will eat here again !

This was our first time at Jeff's and we really liked it. The food was good and affordable. The service was awesome too. If you are looking for something different than than the big chain, I recommend you try this place.

Decent food, dirt cheap. I've eaten at Jeff's for many years. The food is decent (basically standard country cooking/Oklahoma diner food), the waitstaff is friendly and the food is extremely cheap. (i.e. a steak dinner for around $6!)
The Lord sweet baby Jesus died for this place. This place is America, and if you don't like it, you're the devil and you can go to Hell and you die.

Do's and Don'ts. Don't think this place is going to be anything spectacular, standard diner fair. Do think that you're going to leave here with your wallet not as light as you thought! Good prices, average food, good and friendly service. Smoking section if you take some with your coffee (which is also pretty good!). The omelettes are always a good pick, just don't get the fruit. Hashbrowns, home fries, and sliced tomato are always a good bet.

The food is mostly good and clean.
The woman's bathroom really smells like sewage.
But other than that I enjoy myself as a customer there.
Could use a lighter atmostphere though.
This place is great! Biscuits/gravy/scarmbled eggs/sausage for under $5. No it's not gourmet but it's what ihop wishes it could be. I had great service and they refilled my coffee frequently. Anyone who writes a bad review went to this place w an unfair expectation. Also, this joint is home to the dying breed of EXCELLENT breakfast waitresses. You know, the kind that call you sweetie.
Dirt Cheap, Gritty Small town style diner. It is ok, food is nothing to brag about, however when you have a $5.00 tab, it beats eating fast food. Steak is pretty bad, however some of the other stuff is OK.
Great Value!. I'm a regular at Jeff's and enjoy the breakfasts and quick, cheap lunches. Dinner's are pretty good, too. The "critics" of this place are obviously pretentious snobs who need the ubiquitous over-priced slick commercialized crap you find at a Chili's, IHOP, or TGIF's. For real people who look for value, not spendthrifting, this is the goods. Thank you, Jeff, for good food at a good value. P.S.: I like the "crazies" - in the not too distant past we called them non-conformists and sought to emulate their creativity and imagination.
Jeff is cool. he is hard to catch. but he will always give a moment to anyone who approaches him. thats OLD SCHOOL . I went to Irma's Burger shach. and the Owner was so rude that i dont care how clean it is. jeff's has had mostly the same employee's for years. Irma's seems to have new staff avery week>. i like Jeff's I can eat Lunch for $4 that is with a $1 tip. $4 thats OLD SCHOOL

Best Chicken Fried Steak I've Ever Eaten !!. From the sounds of the other reviews I'm assuming these are either younger people who don't remember the old style Mom 'n' Pop restaurants or they are older people who have fallen prey to the commercialized IHOP and Denny's type establishments.
No, Jeff's Cafe isn't fancy and the waitresses won't flirt with you for tips. (You really thought those young ladies at IHOP thought you were charming? LOL) What you WILL get is great food at an incredibly low price.
I ordered a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, corn and a side salad. My daughter got the meatloaf. The steak was tender enough that I could have cut it with a spoon. The mashed potatoes were REAL potatoes and the sweet corn was delicately seasoned. My cost for both meals? Around $12!
Did the waitress hang on my every word and treat me like a god? No, but when I asked her questions she answered and when I needed refills she brought them. I'm not pedantic enough to require pampering. Geez!
I've eaten at restaurants all over the world and the USA and this is the one that I'll keep coming back to. As my daughter reminded me, it's like the ones they used to have when she was growing up. You don't have to worry about how you're dressed. You can just relax and be yourself. It's not fancy, but the food is cheap, hot and tastes like Grandma made it.
I can't imagine not being satisfied with that.
Just like mel's diner.. We started going here because IHOP meals are too much food. There are always crazy people here, some obsessively gambling at the claw game at the door while the kids watch. A typical breakfast runs 2-8 bucks. Although I tip $5 on a $5 meal, the waitresses are normally foul cantankerous old buzzards but in a funny way.
This restaraunt is proof that you cant mess up breakfast.no matter how hard they try.

Hehe, Same Old Place.... I haven't been in this place in well over 16 years, ever since I joined the Army back in 1997. From the reviews I'm seeing here, it sounds like this place didn't change one bit!! I used to live in the neighborhood, about 12 minutes away by foot on the 28th and military. They had some dependably good spaghetti here, around 4 bucks a plate back then, and with good portions. The smoking section harkens back to the heavy smoker culture of OKC, and the crazies harken back to the, well, ecclectic mix of unusual people OKC has to offer. I should know, I was one of them, and still am (from a distance at this time). Indeed, one reviewer whines about "crazies"... well, that's dependent upon your state of mind, what is crazy and what isn't. There are some geniuses that used to frequent the place, and I bet you wouldn't tell them apart from the crazies... some beautiful people you only meet once in your life. Strange thing is, I have trouble find people like that anywhere else in the world...
I kinda miss my hometown. When I stop back in for a visit, I'll be dropping by the old Jeff's Cafe for a plate o' spaghetti... and a crazy encounter or two.
Jeff's is the place to go if you're on a budget! Quality food for low, low prices with wonderful service. The waitstaff is great! This place has regulars for a reason.
While the food isn't ezactly 4 star, i keep going back for the waitresses! the service is very personal once you become a regular, and the vareiey of people (good and bad) that frequent the place make it a rich place for understanding the grittier side of Oklahoma City. You go not for the food, but for the experience!
Good food great prices. I have been going to jeffs cafe for about five years and i love the food. the service was great and the servers were very friendly.Jeff is a very nice man and customer service is his number one priority.As i am a smoker, I loved the fact that he is one of the few restraunts that still has a smoking section. The food here is cheap and plentiful. I went here after seeing their commercial just before I left for work one morning. To me, this is a pretty typical cafe that caters to am older clientelle I'm general, so the food is typically not heavily spiced. The reason to try this place our is more for value. Jeff's special is a great deal and doesn't skimp on the portions like most breakfast places seem to do these days. If you are looking for outstanding food this probably isnt what you ate looking for, but ifvyoi are looking for a good inexpensive breakfast place you should give this place a try.

Greeted as soon as we walked in right at noon . Service was prompt . Refills on drinks were given in perfect amount of time. Fast, friendly, amazing service and great food are rare but this place has it all ! Not to mention great portion size for the price !

Have now been an additional 4-5 times with the family and wanted to track on the 5th star. The staff is beyond amazing, every last one is friendly, professional and accommodating of the mess eating with young ones creates. Also still in awe of how quick the food arrives. Prices haven't skyrocketed even with unquestionably higher overhead. Dishes are also still plentiful and flavorful. Love this place!
Great local diner. Very extensive menu, terrific prices and friendly/attentive service. Went on a Saturday morning and went too busy. They're located in an area where they get everyone from local seniors to young couples to struggling families enjoying the food. Food came quickly and hot. Only ding was for perhaps the weakest coffee I've ever had. Even a fresh pot came out cold and translucent. We'll be back.
Very tasty breakfast. Good comfort food. I really liked their gravy and their strawberry shortcake. Chicken fried steak was pretty good and well portioned for lunch. It kind of reminded me of Grandy's. I'll have to remember to visit this place again!
This small restaurant has friendly staff and good food.

Okay this place is a dive country cafe. You will find cafes like this in any rural community. In fact I thought all of Oklahoma was like this place before I actually visited OKC.
This ain’t no Michelin star let’s put some fancy trendy ingredients in our omelet and charge 20$ type place. It’s more of a my grandpa made food like this and we ain’t changing a thing food wise or price wise.
The omelets are good, the biscuits and gravy are solid, French toast is meh, not bad nor particularly good but the quality of the food for the price ya get it for is what really makes ya come here.
Overall It’s cheap, it’s filling and most importantly it’s not bad.

First off, I don't know why people go to cafe kaka across the street, it's expensive, always crowded, and takes forever, plus food is not the best. Come back to Jeff's and you get a customizable, delicious, quick, and inexpensive breakfast. As a person who grew up in diners, this place gives me that nostalgia feels the only thing it's missing is the smell of cigarettes and I'm a kid again. I hope to come back during the lunch rush to try out their burgers and pies. Great breakfast all in all
My waitress was super nice and attentive. I ordered ham bellpepper and bacon omelet that wasn’t burnt. I had hash brown and grits. The grits was a bit gritty and the hash browns were cooked properly. Nice old fashioned cafe.
Very quick at getting waited on and getting out food. We had breakfast and it was very good. Will be back to try lunch sometime soon.
I love this café. Sometimes they are shorthanded, but the cook is quick. We sit in the smoking section, and we don't even have time to smoke a cigarette. And it's nice knowing that Jeff's Café gives back to the community.

This diner is one of my favorite places to eat! The food was hot and was ready really fast! Everything tasted great! Prices are the best in town. The food tast like down home cooking. Great staff/service very friendly, five stars all around. Can't go wrong, make sure to try it sometime. I always get the swiss and mushroom burger!
The food was AMAZING, I was visiting from Florida and my ultimate omelet was better than any back home and half the price, I'll come back every time I come to Oklahoma
