My ENTIRE life my mom and dad talked about the steak sandwiches from Del Rancho’s in Midwest City Oklahoma. Described as both “the best fried steak sandwich in the entire world” and having “steak so big it hangs off the bun” Del Rancho is the Gold Standard of fried steak sandwiches in my family.
Recently I was passing through OKC on a road trip with my brother when I decided we should try and find it to see for ourselves. The place is still there, and the steaks were still that big…and my mother was right, maybe the best fried steak sammich I’ve ever had…
We ordered:
Steak Sandwich: 5 Stars Everything was great, from the steak to the bun. No complaints. Not even a quibble.
Fries: 4 Stars The fries were those extra crispy battered fries that are so popular right now which I don’t care for but were good anyway. I wish more restaurants would go back to just regular fries.
Restaurant: 4 Stars The people were friendly, and the place was clean if a bit aged. It had a nice friendly atmosphere and you could tell the people who were eating there were locals. Seating was a bit limited to old-school wood/plastic booths and was a bit uncomfortable.
TOTAL: 4.25 Stars…very commendable!

We went inside and ate here last Thursday night...I have to say that they were very busy and short staffed too but we received great service and very friendly and respectful young crew I was impressed...and our food was hot and delicious when It arrived at our table.. the onion rings were soooo good 🤤 👍 to the young lady up front and the 2 young men in the back .. keep up the good work.. highly recommend ..ty😊

A Great Place to eat the Food is so Good like the Double Cheese Burger, and And the Tea is so Good. The Manager Denise is so Nice and her Worker are Wonderful. The Chicken Steak is so Good Great Place to Eat.

Overall good. We had a call in order and it was mostly ready when we arrived. Missing a sandwich. They took care of it pretty quickly. Was good but did get mashed in the bags. Still not a bad experience

The food was excellent the service was good the atmosphere was nice the employees were not educated in the process of discounts especially Veteran discounts the cashier had processed the order before applying my discount and used that as a excuse for me not getting it on a $35.00 order.
