If you want a quick bite for cheap, this is your place! Gives you a small town deli feel and has been around forever. Very cozy and quaint place. Tasty home cooked type food. Desserts are AMAZING! Lemon bar and snickerdoodle cookie was delicious! It's very small inside so not a lot of space for groups.

The best deal on some of the best sandwiches in Oklahoma City 🥪 this is a local institution in the area. The secret is the amazing bread made fresh daily. The prices are unbeatable.

This place is amazing. The sandwiches are so well proportioned and a bit underpriced too. Cookies are also good. Hands down the best place in OKC to get a delicious sandwich with fresh bread.

This is a must stop! Being from the EastCoast I miss the small neighborhood delis where you know each other by name and by breakfast sandwich. I finally found my small piece of home right here! Stop in and try their sandwiches or their delicious breakfast. You won’t be disappointed. The service is top of the line, plus they bake all their own bread, bagels and biscuits.
Michael Kinney Media
First time there and picked up a couple of breakfast sandwiches. As soon as i opened the door, the smell of fresh bread had me hooked. Outstanding price and great taste. Will be going back.

Very friendly people! The service is great, I highly recommend for when you want to get a quick bite somewhere. Also you have to try the baked goods.

I really look forward to Someplace Else Deli on re-opening. It's been a family and neighborhood fave since it opened in the 1970's. Friendly, family, female owned business. Menu items are consistent, fresh and prepared to order. Not to miss baked goods make great dessert, gifts or take to work breakfast. Watch for special sale items that appear daily near the register. There's
really not another place like this, just off Old Route 66, 1/2Block East of the famous Gold Dome Bank. If you enjoy tucking in with the all ages locals, this is it.

Delicious, quirky gem. Great sandwiches, very good value, the atmosphere is really welcome and homey. I go for the chicken salad, I think their bread is really nice. Call-in orders are a breeze here, they're always quickly ready. This is an independent, all-service deli that adds a lot to OKC. Love this place!

I seriously eat here at least twice a week. It’s always my go to for a quick yummy and fast lunch. Almost everything besides a few things are under $5! Even during their rush I have never waited more than about 5 minutes tops for my order. Everything is always so fresh and delicious. Their white roll is always so fresh and their lemon bars are to die for! You see the same faces every time you go in there and everyone is always so nice! If you are sick of the same old chain places and want something different and local I definitely recommend this place! Every time.

I was SO hungry I forgot to take a picture when I first got my food. I had eaten half my sandwich by the time I remembered to take a picture. I ordered the #3 roast beef (hot) sandwich. The bread was tender, and the sandwich filling. Oh and talk about FAST service. Most all of their sandwiches are under $5 which means they are certainly budget friendly. They’re not (to my knowledge) a chain restaurant so because I’m not living in this area, I would only return if I were in the area

Old school sandwich shop. While the sandwiches and portions are small, so are the prices. Simple sandwiches with fresh baked bread. The rueben is wonderful, and one of my favorites, although many of my friends love their other sandwiches, esp the ones with avocado or bacon. Get a side of potato salad too. It is small but provides a little variety. Affordable is the name of the game!<br/><br/>The cookies are the best part of this establishment. So save room for dessert!!<br/><br/>Parking is limited. Also the seats are benches with no backs. While my older friends love the sandwiches, they don't like to stay. TO GO might be the order of the day!!!
BAnOK
Ordered takeout. Ham and cheese warmed. Better than Subway! Tabouli had a great taste, just a little dry. It could have used some oil and lemon or lime juice. Will definitely eat here again. It was a little crowded, but it was noon.

This place is clean and exactly what you expect in a deli, simple sandwiches done right. The service at the counter is quick and the place has a good feeling family atmosphere. Catch them any time for a quick lunch during the week. They also do great take out.
Rick
Great food, friendly service. I had a very good Italian Sausage sandwich on my most recent visit. If you want to sit down and eat, you'd better get there before the lunch rush. They fill up fast and seating is limited.
Righteouskara1
Good food. Bad service.. The food is fresh and I enjoy it however, the customer service people are just rude. Clearly, they don't care about you. The way I see it, if you don't care about being friendly to the people who pay your bills, then I will take my money elsewhere.<br/>It's a shame because I try to always support local businesses.

Never Wilted. Once in a while my office gets a catered lunch from Someplace Else and the sandwiches are always great. The meats are fresh and so are the vegetables. Wilted vegetables on sandwiches or salads kill my appetite for sure and I've never had to worry about that here. They are also generous with the condiments and napkins as well.
M Garcia
Great sandwiches, unbelievable prices, they are awesome!

The bread and butter of OKC sandwich shops.. I've been coming to this place since I was a kid - and after wide travels and a 4-year stint on the east coast, Someplace Else still makes some of my favorite sandwiches. Also, I can still afford it. Cah-ching!<br/><br/>For the folks who've complained of stale bread, so-so service, and microwaved meats - is there truly a parallel universe where this place actually sucks? I don't think so. I do think you can't walk in expecting artisan cheeses, gluten-free bread options, or above-average packaging. Expect a solid homemade sandwich and a belly full of tiny cookies.<br/><br/>A disclaimer: I don't do usually the bread thing. But if I want a sandwich, I try to come here. I add meat to the already-bursting veggie sandwich, order it on their homemade rye, and make sure to pick out lots of baked goods. <br/><br/>Don't drink too much - there's no bathroom for customers inside.
Jessy
Good Food. I was excited to try this place out and was not disappointed. The reuben was yummy and so was the cookie! I was sad that they ran out of cinnamon rolls. I can't wait to go back and try one!

What can I say about Someplace Else! It is still excellent after all of these years. My husband first brought me here for lunch about 37 years ago when he was courting me. We haven't eaten here in years. Thank goodness it stayed in business even while we got busy and neglected it! The sandwiches are still tasty, well made and the bread is soft and has a lovely texture. The staff is friendly and efficient. And, the cookies! Yes, the cookies, brownies and the ginger people are all perfectly flavored! We'll do better now and come back more often!

Best Reuben Sandwich I have had in a long time :)
Mari Stroud
Great for parties.. My old employer used to order this place all the time for parties and work events. The meat, cheese, and veggies were all good, but the real blow-away was the bread: the perfect combination of squashy and chewy. I've only been back a time or two as an individual, but the bread was every bit as delicious. Try it as a deli experience if you're near the OKC capitol.
Entity
Hoagies, etc. I've tried several sandwiches here. The hoagie is by far my favorite. Their cookies and cinnamon rolls are cheap and tasty. Have them warm up the cinnamon rolls :)
CauseI'mAwesome
Someplace Else is like every place else. Mediocre sandwiches, apathetic service, and cookies weren't even cooked through.
SuperrrDave
Prime rib sandwish...says it all. I also got a dozen cookies to go that were awesome. I'll go again.
Missacrowe
MMMM... delicious. I have been to this delicious place about 5 times now, I'd passed by it several times because it appeared there was no parking left, however, there is a lot to the south of the place. I love the home made bread, the sandwiches make me full and aren't over priced. They have lots of fresh baked goodies, I've yet to try them, but will do this soon!
Sollie
I had the best BLT today! Loved the wonderful taste, homemade bread, quick service, and will be returning again!
Tracy
I've been twice and both times were bad. Today, I ordered a toasted turkey sandwich. Got a microwaved blob. Who microwaves a sandwich with mayo and lettuce? Just plain gross. <br/>Rude service.
Mimi
GOOOO someplace else!. My stomach is still upset after the lousy sandwiches I have ever tasted. I had the polish sausage and sour kraut. My husband had the bbq beef. First of all the microwave bread and flavorless cheap sausage are not worth trying. The BBQ sauce is terrible. The worst we have ever had. The beef tasted like over chewed gum that crumpled on first bite! Tasted old. Maybe it was Monday's leftovers? The service was friendly but I would not recommend anyone eat here unless you dont care about what you eat in the first place and like microwave food. And to the positive reviews on here. ARE YOU SERIOUS??!! I'd rather eat a can of spagetti o's than a sandwhich from here.

I had a business meeting in the Paseo District yesterday and decided to try some place new for lunch. Someplace Else was amazing! The whole wheat bread was INCREDIBLE! I'm a huge fan of the horseradish mustard, fresh cheeses, and thinly sliced deli meat. Staff was extremely friendly as well.
Jerrica
Yummy.... Sitting at my desk right now eating a turkey on wheat. This is THE best bread I have had around here. I also got two cookies that look like they are gonna melt in my mouth!!
Premier Review
The best deli in town. Fresh bread, real hoggies. It's a little bit of NYC in OKC. A real tradition.
Joey Guevara
This is the best sandwich shop in the city. I stop in for loaves of bread from time to time and have never been let down by the quality and service. Roast beef on wheat is my go to when I'm in the area.
Christa
Cookies to die for!. I've been wanting to try this place for years and have just never had the chance to stop in. I'm really glad I made time for them today! The cookies are amazing...they are just that perfect combination of soft with a little bit of a crunch. The sandwich was very good also. I can't wait to go back and try something different!
Paul
Fantastic! I plan on making this a regular stop for lunch. Prime rib sandwich with the fresh horseradish dressing was very good. And I don't even like horseradish! Kudos to the owners for what they've done for this city in running this deli. An absolute must go.
Martha
I've been a regular for years. And I've been a regular for a reason. They have the best sandwiches, and I'm addicted to their lemon sugar cookies!

Meatball Sub!. There was a line when we went in today at 12:15 but it moved quickly and was worth the little wait. We got a meatball sub (heaven) and a hot ham & cheese which was also very good. 2 lemonades, 4 cookies and 2 s'more bars later and it was only $15!!! Everything was delicious and really affordable. This will be my new favorite lunch spot!
Jimmy
Go Someplace Else!!!!!. I love this place. Every time I go in they have something new and tasty for me to try. I personally love the Eggplant Parmesan. I also love the Meatball, Italian, and Roast Beef. This place is truly amazing. It is especially good when you need a break from the old. Why not go to Someplace Else.
Cumberbatch
Cheap, fast, delicious!. One of the best sandwiches you could find in OKC!<br/><br/>The ingredients are fresh and the homemade bread is excellent. The menu has a lot of variety, (the eggplant parmesan sub, anyone?) especially for a sandwich place and the cookies are great. Vegetarians should definitely check out the veggie sandwich: it's got a lot of flavor! <br/><br/>And one couldn't ask for better prices or atmosphere, which is somehow very homey and relaxed. <br/><br/>There is often a line during the lunch rush, but my boyfriend and I are always able to get in, out and back to work within a very reasonable amount of time.
Travis Nance
Tasty, fresh, simple, inventive. Feels more like a real deli than most local sandwich shops.
Kaysie
Oh Someplace Else.... I love their prime rib sandwich. It's a fatty prime rib but it makes it so flavorful. Add on the horseradish mustard and it's heaven on bread.
BigB
I can't believe people don't like this place. This is the best sandwich place in town! The people who don't like this place are only kidding themselves into thinking they know something about "cuisine" or "higher standards," I mean, give me a break. They have no idea what they're talking about. One, this is a sandwich place, and you can't get any better for sandwiches and cookies. Two, who gives an eff about how they wrap your to-go orders, if you go there thinking you're going to get something more than just foil or saran wrapping around your to-go order, go someplace else (no pun intended).<br/><br/>This place has been open for decades, they have homemade bread and baked goods, they don't use preservatives, and their sandwiches are fresh, delicious, and super low priced. I go to this place whenever I'm wanting a good sandwich, because they're local and they're just better than any commercial or corporately owned franchise that doesn't really care what the individual has to say about their food. The people who work there and own it are kind and you actually see how hard they work to keep this place how it is.<br/><br/>This place is great, and it's the ideal sandwich deli.

Something Else. Cannot say it better than this<br/><br/> <br/>"Not so good, not so cheap<br/>by Rick Cain (44 reviews)<br/>October 08, 2010 - Doesn't like it<br/>I was driving by and decided on a lark to check this place out at lunch. It was busy, so I got my standard roast beef sandwich to go.<br/>Its not pricey, but what I ended up with was a frightened little looking sub sandwich wrapped in plastic. It was forgettable and bland. The place is kind of dark and hasn't been renovated since the 1970's apparently.<br/><br/>Was there April 22 the Super Sub was Super DUD,<br/>BLAND is the word<br/>Someplace Else seems to have become Complacent Else<br/>Bread for subs is sub par now, like supermarket bread<br/>Cold cuts are not what they used to be. Price is OK but that is all, will be a while before we go again

Good sandwiches and awesome desserts. Someplace Else is a little hidden gem in okc. This place has very fresh deli meats and cheeses and is very reasonably priced compared to a lot of sandwich shops in the metro area. The best thing by far is the smores bar, it is delightful!
Em
Great little hole in the wall. Excellent sandwiches and baked goods.<br/><br/>I had the reuben which was served hot on great rye with perfect sauerkraut.
Free To Eat
Very decent!. It's a nice, quiet place to enjoy lunch. The dining room is its own flavor, plain yet inviting. The sandwiches are quite good, with nice bread and enough in the sandwich to know what you're getting---for a decent price. I love the baked goods there, and the fact that they sell the day-olds (which still retain most of their quality) at such a nice price is very welcoming.

BEST EGG SALAD IN TOWN!. The deviled eggs are also delish. <br/><br/>We've been eating here for almost 30 years now. I cannot recommend Someplace Else more highly -- it's a great little locally owned sandwich place that's been around for ages for very, very good reasons.
Sarah
Good eats, better sweets. Delicious, yummy cookies. the sammies are good too, but for whatever reason, I love the sugar cookies. Kind of a plain choice, I know, but they are the best.

Ah, the Pastrami!. If there is one thing in OKC has a shortage of, it is good pastrami, but Someplace Else has it! The only two places I have had better Pastrami were at Kosher Deli's in NYC and Baltimore. In my humble opinion they use the best Mozzarella (with real favor), so get your Pastrami with Mozzarella (no, it's not Kosher then) and slather on their tasty spicy mustard (not that nasty yellow stuff) for a coup de gras. Ignore your cardiologist. We have gone to Someplace Else for close to 25 years and consider the owner's and staff family, but then they treat everyone that way. It is busy at lunch, but when you get your cookies (Chocolate Sugar and Lemon Sugar cookies are our favorites) it is not only worth it, but you will fight the person in line in front of you to get the last one and they do run out. No one else makes cookies like these and if you don't try them, it is your loss. Did I mention that the prices or the cookies are so reasonable, it makes Subway's cookie prices look like grand larceny.
Kaitlyn
AMAZING.. I LOVE their sandwiches and pastries. Probably my favorite sub place- atmosphere & food are great!

Great taste rustic inner city apeal

Love at first taste!. You cannot get a better sandwich in OKC for the price. My faves are the avocado/cream cheese/bacon and the BBQ. Try the lemon-sugar-dusted cookies - they melt in your mouth!

Go to meet Peggy the owner, and stay for the best deli food in town. The potato soup is to die for, and I may from the cream.

Love this place. A true gem in our city. This place has been around for many years and hopefully for many more. What can you say but great food at unbelievable prices. I mean it's 2010 and the prices are still under 4 bucks for a homemade quality sandwich. The breakfast is so inexpensive it seems to be good to be true, but it's true! A true classic.
MSingley
Good and CHEAP.. More good than awesome. But it's just so dang cheap. Love this place.
ChrisGeis
Very good sandwich best deli I have been to in Oklahoma cheap also.

I normally order the blt when i go to someplace else which is fabulous, tons of bacon and the wheat bread is my favorite. Today i decided to try the hoagie, since it is their specialty. I ordered the sandwich hot and found that rather than seeming toasted the sandwich just seemed to be microwaved, i was a tad disappointed because I do like my bread toasted but aside from that the sandwich was delicious. In the future I will probably stick with the blt but everyone once in a while a change is good.
AsianLady
Though hidden in the corner near classen this place has some yummy sandwiches!! Prices are great for the quality. Everything looks and tastes fresh. If your looking for a place that makes huge sandwiches ( I think the sanwiches are 9 or 10 ft long not sure) for group parties or socialing this place makes them!
Kels
Fresh, home made (even the bread) tasty and less expensive than arbys, really you get more for the same price.
CASEY
I like it!. Sorry Tevington, I'm one of those everyone else you know that likes it. I agree that it's less than conducive for large, hurried lunch crowds; aside from that, I've found each sandwich, and certainly every sweet delight, delectable. It's a great little place to sit and read the gazett restaurant review on a saturday afternoon........
El Brando
Pretty nice sandwich.... Had a nice corned beef on rye (see my pic) and very much enjoyed it. Nice, thick rye with good, not overpowering rye flavor. Corned beef was good, better than most here in OKC, but no where near as good as the "real" stuff. <br/><br/>Pretty large assortment of cookies and sweets, though I didn't partake, I will try soon.<br/><br/>It was my first time here, but I definitely want to try again. I also want to try the breakfast.

Someplace Deli makes my favorite Turkey sandwich and cookies in town.
Bethany Warnock
My usual ham and cheese always comes on the softest, chewiest bread this side of France, with plenty of fresh lettuce and bright red tomato slices on top. I’ve heard that the soup and salads are good too, but one sandwich is very filling, and in keeping with my eating-out mantra. “Tasty and cheap”.
Bill Hensley
I got a meatball sandwich on wheat bread with Sun Chips. It was messy and had a lot of meatballs, and a lot of marinara. They didn’t have any Parmesan cheese, unfortunately. The meatballs were mostly meat with some bread, instead of the other way around. The marinara was really good. Someplace Else is also a bakery. I got five (small) peanut butter cookies and a snicker-doodle. The snicker-doodle was good, but the PB cookies were crumbly and not all that tasty. I think they lacked the PB part. They have iced tea and it’s good also. My check was $7.50. The cookies were $1.50.
