This place is always such a good place to stop and eat. Last night we had a birthday party there for my dad, they we were able to bring in a cake and they put it in the refrigerator for us. The staff were super kind as well as everyone else who ate there.

A reservation should be made if you want to sit at a grill and not at a table in the restaurant side, as they are generally very busy, and grill seats fill up. The food is excellent, the chefs are entertaining, and they have a massive variety of fresh made sushi options. Expect to spend about a minimum of $30 with an appetizer, but there will likely be likely be leftovers to take home, as you get a ton of food... rice or noodles, shrimp, veggies, soup and salad come with grill entrees, and combo entrees include dessert.

You have to love the show they put on and the experience of the chefs cooking everything right in front of you. There are lots of food options so you can find something you'll like. Kids love it, and it's an all-around great time.

We were here regularly before the pandemic and ordered takeout a couple times during the PHE. Always fresh. Always delicious.
Ecstatic to see they're back open. My son and I had a night out tonight and he decided he wanted sushi. We had seaweed salad and tempura vegetables. He had a California roll with masago. I had the Spartan and MSU rolls. Everything was terrific. Great service.
We can't wait to come back for hibachi. (It's been... three years.)

Happy the bartender was an excellent companion for the beginning of my solo weekend. She was happy to accommodate my likes and dislikes and we even toasted to her new house. Ukai is lucky to have her!

Very fun. Went for a birthday had to split up the large party so I'd recommend keeping it 8 or under so you can sit together

Great drink and food options. Good happy hour options! The hibachi was fun as well, but their ventilation isn't as great as other hibachi restaurants I've been to, and they had to have fans running at the edge of the room to handle the smokiness. The fluorescent lighting kinda screws with the atmosphere a bit too.
Our hibachi chef was a lot of fun and had tricks up his sleeve I hadn't seen before!
