Review Artesian Restaurant And Wine Bar - Ojo Caliente

Ate here twice during a recent stay at the mineral springs spa on site. For the price, you would expect excellence. I liked it, but it wasn't mind-blowing nor amazing or anything. Ordered a chile relleno at dinner and it did not have a batter coating, so basically a roasted chile. It was still good, although unnecessarily fancy. Ordered a green chile cheeseburger at lunch and not only were the fries served warm - not hot - but the burger toppings included the core of the lettuce which should have been cut off and thrown away, and the top of a tomato which similarly should have been discarded. So, the parts of the produce that typically would not be served to a customer appeared on my plate. For $17. The burger itself was good. Best thing about this restaurant is its location; there is very little other food available in the area. A drive to Taos offers a person more options, but that takes time and gas. This place is not great (although it pretends to be) but it is convenient when staying at the hot springs resort. Reservation required for dinner.

It's a nice treat to be able to dine in proximity to the hot spring. The menu is vegetarian friendly. The tortilla soup was quite good. However, there weren't much options other than salads for smaller food portions. I ordered vegetarian wrapps and had to take them out. The one negative comment that I have is the communication between the host and waiters. We had to ask for someone to attend us after several minutes of waiting as we were sitting in a separate dining area. We also asked for a couple of things along with our order but our waiter appeared to have forgot and we didn't bother to ask again. Overall, a good experience.

I had a dream pasta dinner with salmon and the next morning had French toast for breakfast. The food was delicious, flavorful and served quickly. Complements to the team in the kitchen. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Perfect place for a tasty meal post soak. We had dinner here both nights of our stay. The food was fresh and seasoned. Aaron, our server, was attentive and charming. I can't wait to go back, and this time, I will demand more muffins to go ! πŸ˜‹

Food and wine were good but service was fantastic! We especially loved our server at dinner Mateo- he was knowledgeable about the menu, made recommendations to accommodate dietary restrictions, and was extremely positive and friendly. We loved him so much we requested him the second night and he accommodated us even though he seemed extremely busy. My only complaint is I wish the wine bar was open later than 9:30 or some type of lounge for lodging guests.

I was visiting the springs and decided to eat at the Artesian / Wine Bar. My server, Mia, was excellent. I felt welcomed and she was incredibly nice and attentive. I got the Buffalo Short Ribs and they were phenomenal. I would recommend treating yourself to the Artesian/Wine Bar after a relaxing time at the hot springs. Thank you Mia for hooking me up!

Personally I work at the spring in the spa side and the fact that the food is just as legendary as the waters speaks for itself. I had the green chili cheeseburger with coffe desert 🏜 πŸ˜‹ 😩 😫

just would like to say. NATASHA, our wine bar server, was LOVELY! my mother and i enjoyed our dinner very much. NATASHA was very good at her job. the poblano fries were really good. as was the beet salad. the michilada was mid, and the sake mojito could have been stronger but i would get it again :) thanks natasha!

Charming local fare farm to table restaurant located in the historic hotel of the Ojo Caliente Spa. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a wine bar that's open from 11-930, and complimentary tea and coffee in the morning from 7-9. Conveniently located steps from the spa and soaking pools, you'll find folks wearing their spa robes and towels for breakfast and lunch, but casual attire is required for dinner. Reservations are recommended for dinner. Avocado toast is excellent for breakfast, and the blue corn enchiladas are great as a lunch item. Grab a coffee and sit by the kiva for a while before enjoying your day at the spa.

Delicious food, reasonably priced for what we ordered. Our waiter Mateo was great, incredibly accommodating, and service overall was attentive. Definitely recommend!

We had a delicious lunch at the wine bar yesterday. And great service! I had been there years before and recall the food delicious as well. The servers were hustling and did great during the busy lunch rush!!
