On Oct 7 we had a family wedding reception for our daughter. Catie & Deb were very easy to work with. We picked the menu we wanted -open bar and they even took care of getting the cake of our choice and color table cloths/napkins. Our guests enjoyed a wonderful meal, excellent service-which included drinks delivered to their table. The cost was very reasonable. Rustic and stone railroad theme. Staff very friendly . We would highly recommend for any party.
Definitely 5 Star Restaurant. We always have an excellent meal there. The service is the best and so are the owners Tim and Debbie.
Wonderful getaway. Very laid back atmosphere with fabulous railroad theme and fascinating operational model trains throughout bar and dining room! Kid-friendly plus!

Definitely friendly. Went for lunch and loved the food. Got a great train demonstration and history lesson from whom I assume was the owner. Love his passion. Absolute 5 Star.

The Freight House deserves my five star rating for Deby and Tim's great hospitality. Their greeting is alway warm and friendly. The atmosphere at The Freight House makes you feel like a member of the family. It's always number one to recommmend to my guests who stay at The Way Back In B&B, The Freeight House is a great place to dine. And they're never disappointed.

My first time (October 26, 2017) going there and I really enjoyed seeing all the old train items and watching the trains go around ... I really think that more advertising should be done to promote more people to this area and to see all that is there and to try the good food ... I will be returning ... Thank you !!! :)

We had a gathering in the back room at the Freight House and couldn't be happier. They were easy to work with and we got exactly what we asked for. The staff was attentive and our guests really enjoyed themselves. If you are looking to host an event in the Ogdensburg area I would highly recommend them. Thanks again for a job well done!

First time there. Menu was diverse enough to please everyone in my party of 6. As a vegetarian, it is not always easy to find places up north with good choices. Ambiance was very nice, staff was pleasant, and good was, overall, very good. Super affordable...our party of 6, with beer, sodas s, appetizer and 6 meals, came to just under $100, which was super affordable and surprising. Definitely will be back.
Best Prime Rib in the area at an affordable price, I always order double mashed potatoes and nothing else to add. The entry comes with salad or the soup of the day.
Oh, You should try liver and onions, itis the best as well.

Dined here with a larger party on a Saturday night. Even though they had a sign stating the kitchen was short staffed, all of our food came out in a timely manner and everything was very good. Portion sizes were generous. Our server, Vickie, was wonderful.

Found this place after leaving another place where we waited for almost 15 minutes without being waited on, with only 2 other customers in the joint. Good thing that happened, or we never would have found the Freight House. This place is awesome, believe its an old train depot, train memorabilia everywhere, model trains running on tracks overhead. Service was good, food was good and came out rather quickly, and the prices were very reasonable. When we got the bill I thought they forgot to charge us for drinks at first because it was so low, but nope, the prices are that good. Will definitely stop again next time I'm in town.
Excellent food, generous portions. At our table, we had a variety of entrees. Prime rib, chicken marsala, boneless chicken wings, shrimp scampi. All were delicious, everyone was happy and most of us had leftovers to take home.
The first time eating here with four adults and one toddler! I wish I could put this place as the BOMB for the rating but I had to settle for five stars....excellent food, awesome service (Mindy—THANK U!!!) treated us very very well and the atmosphere was terrific to keep the toddler busy until our food came. We just had a very great time here and plan on going again many times!! Thank you everyone for the awesome time we spent there!
