We sat at the bar and had excellent service from the young man who served us amazing drinks, fabulous menu recommendations and a dessert that was sinful. Engaged in great conversations as well. Highly recommended.
Cool atmosphere with a high end menu. Indoor and outdoor seating with a fantastic view of the river - particularly at sunset. Features a full bar and looks as though they host weddings etc. We’ve had a couple of nice dinners here and will be back. LOVED the steamers and French onion soup!
Our waitress was fantastic, My stake was perfect my wife had scallops and loved it. The drinks were great. It was a wonderful meal.
A unique eating experience may be had at The Gran View in New York, a hidden gem. This charming restaurant is tucked away along the riverfront and offers stunning views and a mouthwatering menu that guarantees an unforgettable gastronomic experience.
You are immediately impressed by the tranquil beauty of the surroundings as you get closer to The Gran View. The roomy outdoor dining area is furnished with cozy chairs and umbrellas, making it the ideal place to have a leisurely lunch and take in the breathtaking river views.
Let's now discuss the food, which is the main attraction. The menu at The Gran View is a combination of traditional American fare and inventive culinary creations, all made with fresh, regional ingredients.
On Saturday evening, five of us enjoyed delicious dinners in a lovely dining room with a talented musician playing an electronic piano in the background. The service was friendly and professional.
A lovely restaurant. The location is amazing with a great view. The service was very friendly. The food was great and very delicious. Highly recommended.
Always a fine meal & beverage here! Rivals any meal I've had in Massachusetts or New York. Great attentive but inobtrusive service.
Excellent restaurant with a great view, atmosphere and food. Lauren was our server and she was very friendly!
We had dinner for New Years Eve here. Service was great, despite it being busy, mainly because the server was friendly and experienced. All the food was delicious and fixed expertly, except for the kahlua cake which was a dry cake with overly sweet frosting (everyone agreed), not a huge issue since we ordered several desserts to share and it did not detract from an otherwise perfect meal. Prime rib was the best that those who ordered it had tasted in years. The shrimp louis was beyond compare, a perfect balance of garlic butter and breading. The pasta ala vodka was a nice surprise for the diner who had never had it before and the chicken michael was a delicious combination of chicken breast, ham, gorgonzola and swiss cheese with a sweet currant sauce. The mashed potatoes were fresh and while the snow peas were a VERY modest serving, they were cooked delightfully and not overly done. The creme brule was rich with the perfect balance of sweet and a nice crust. The chocolate brownie was amazingly gooey and rich and served with a nice scoop of rich vanilla ice cream to balance the richness. Very nice dinner overall.
Great food and good prices! Recommend the seared ahi tuna.
We had Miranda as our waitress and she did an outstanding job. Highly recommend.
Very elegant place to eat. Good menu and friendly staff. Food is delicious...I give 5 stars for these attributes!
But I had to give just 4 stars because... their drinking glasses are not clean. They have lipstick marks on almost all of them. Even if you sanitize in a dishwasher...you have to atleast use hands to wash glass cups before throwing them in dishwasher this is to ensure mouth-to-mouth diseases are not passed along. Being extra clean during COVID is not a bad thing. I was just disgusted to drink 🍸 from it because of how dirty they were. The surrounding is clean...but the utensils are not so clean. In a restaurant utensils MUST be extra clean because people put their mouths on it. Their restroom is cleaner than their glass cups!!!
Please don't just throw your cups in dishwater...
Hand wash them with brushes first and then use dishwater to sanitize.
So enjoyable. Wonderful service. A view you can't get anywhere else of the St Lawrence sunset. Kurt Ramsey performed on keyboard. The owner, Lou Williams made the rounds through the dining room, in his tux, while taking a short break from his duties hosting a wedding by the River.
PS. Try the Grand Marnier Creme Brulee, you'll be glad you did!
I went for a Christmas party The food was good, staff was great, the outside of the building kinda looks like a motel, but the inside is very nice, it even has a real fireplace.
Great happy hour deals. Food and drink specials. Food is always cooked well. Great food items you can't get anywhere else. Friendly staff too!
Enjoyed a birthday dinner for a friend here. Food was reasonable priced and well prepared. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and drink.
Great restaurant for a celebration, we had our mother's 80th birthday party in the Fireside Dining Room.Food and service was outstanding! Thank you Lou and staff !
