We ate there twice in three days. My husband and I enjoyed it so much. The service was excellent, despite being short staffed. They hustle! The food was amazing. Green BLT, catfish, hushpuppies, blackened shrimp all to die for but my husband got emotional over eating the Crawfish E’touff’ee! Holy moly! It was spot on! Fortunately for us it is close!! Oh and how in the world could I forget the bread pudding. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

It's a gem for the area. Catfish and shrimp were great. The gator bites were tough and dark so I'm guessing it was leg meat. Service was poor and once we got our food they forgot about us. I'll blame that on a lack of staff. Still this was a really good meal and worth a visit.

Finally got the chance to pop in and give it a try. Super friendly service and very attentive staff. I started off with a sweet tea and an appetizer of the hand made hush puppies. Tea was on point but hush puppies, though tasty, still had raw dough in the center (pic attached). My meal consisted of the fried shrimp and catfish with fries and onion rings. Shrimp was medium to large butterflied but really not large enough for that cut and left them a bit tough with very light seasoning in the batter. I assumed it being a Cajun site they would be more flavorful with a bite to them but it wasn't evident. Catfish was very large filet that was well cleaned and had much more flavor to the batter but as the hush puppies it was a bit under cooked. From past experiences I would leave the assumption that the oil was too hot and let the exterior cook too fast to properly finish the internals. Overall atmosphere was great and I will definitely be back to do another sample for an additional review.

This was a great find. Service was amazing. The waiters were all very attentive and the kitchen manager really makes you feel at home mingling with the guests. The food was great as well. Loads of flavor. Will definitely be back soon.

We heard about the Cajun Lady from friends. Sounded like some place to try. We were there on a Saturday at 3:00. They were very crowded. I ordered the sampler platter. The fish, shrimp, gator and hush puppies were great. I didn't care for the oysters. The coleslaw and brussel sprouts were also good. We will be back

Oh my gosh!! The food here is so good. We went on a Saturday, about 6:45, waited 45 minutes. I had the white sea bass special, hubby had the cajun pasta with shrimp, crawfish and sausage. Both dishes were incredibly delicious. Hush puppies were also delicious, beignets were on point. Definitely worth the wait. These dishes deserve more than the plastic plates they're served on. We were served 5 star food!

As a Cajun that grew up with authentic Cajun and Creole cooking at home and restaurants in the New Orleans area, I can say this tastes like home. The overall feel and atmosphere of this place reminds me of the small seafood restaurants that lined the back roads hanging of the sides of rivers and lakes that see little tourism. The kind of places that serve you what they make at home and not the canned experience that reminds you of "Mexican" or "Japanese" restaurants geared to American Tates. While the spices are tamed to prevent the unacquainted from having their tongue torched, the flavor is still there. The staff is friendly, and attentive. The prices are very reasonable in a world where food is becoming a luxury item.

The Sampler was superb with the shrimp creole, gumbo, jambalaya and rice and beans! My son didn't enjoy the catfish, think it was his first time trying catfish. I was never a catfish fan myself so must be a family trait. He's nine and loves the red beans and rice though! My daughter did her usual out and about and ate hushpuppies and fries delightfully. Wonderful staff! We will return.
