Torta de asada sucked more onion then meat. Menudo smelled funny did not look fresh. the only good thing we had was the chips and salsa and coffee

Nothing makes you feel quite so stupid as pulling up to an empty restaurant, going in anyway, getting charged extra for using a debit card, ordering $30 worth of food and taking it home to find that it’s ice cold and not at all good.
One and done for me on this place.

I ordered carne asada fries and this is what they gave me. It looks like they took a handful of meat and sprinkled it on the fries. Literally a few pieces. Why do they always skimp on the meat?? I basically paid for fries!

AUTHENTIC & BOMB TACO SHOP WITH AN ACTUAL DJ IN THE HOUSE?! Si, por favor!
The DJ starting up the karaoke night by singing a few songs made it such a fun atmosphere.
This place has a lot of food options, big portions and reasonable prices. The chicken tacos are our personal favorites. Homemade and unlimited chips and salsa- you can't go wrong with that. Don't forget to try the mango michelada!
I can't wait to come back for the breakfast burritos or for a late night taco run.
10/10 would recommend.

I was raised in Chicago eating Menudo, carnitas and barbacoa on weekends but I hardly have it anymore. Today, I was craving Menudo. This is a very simply decorated, loud music playing restaurant but that’s not why it gets 5 stars. I took my quesa Birria and menudo to go and ate it at home. I’m glad I did because I needed lots of napkins 😆 BUT OMG so worth it! This was my first time trying this food from here. I’m definitely going back and trying the borrego barbacoa next time. The counter staff was attentive and helpful.
You don’t have to drive to the border for good food!

Their Mexican food is outstandingly authentic like you eat best food in Mexico include their best jumbo drinks. This restaurant may be best in whole San Diego county. Many local Mexican families flocks to this restaurant each Friday and Saturday. The waitresses, waiter and cook dont speak English so well but they are good people. Warning: they will cook your meal like 20 to 30 minutes but you will love their food. Worthy. The patrons love the karaoke there.

Didn't even realize it was a restaurant, went looking for a meat market but found it instead...ordered the 3 rolled tacos...man they were great...will come back for more items to try ... I will take better pictures next time...
