Flying Pig Pub & Kitchen

My family and I were visiting Carlsbad for a Legoland trip and like always, I wanted to eat good food. After searching for a bit, I decided on this place. And I'm glad I did! The food was phenomenal and the service was even better. Our waiter (I want to say his name is Eric) was one of the best waiters I've ever had, super friendly, talked to the kids and asked us questions, thorough with the menu, etc. I had the pancetta pasta of the day, the fettuccine was cooked to perfection, the flavors blended wonderfully, overall just a great dish. So great that I'm attempting to make it at home this weekend so I don't have to make the 4 hour drive each time I want it ;) the kiddos had burgers and the fries were delicious. Usually when we go to restaurants the kids food sucks and lacks flavor. They were perfectly crispy and had just a hint of something sour, I want to say lemon, so you ended up with blend of salty, sour, sweetness (If you dip in ketchup), and a crunchy texture on the outside with a soft center. Overall our dining experience was awesome and if we're ever in the area, I'm definitely coming back!
