The sushi was good. We got the dinner specials and convinced my son to actually eat the whole roll. He usually will pick out the inside. He had an Alaska roll and miso soup. He enjoyed them. So did we. Good service, was not very busy on a Monday evening. Parking is tricky and we paid $4 for a 2 hour spot a few blocks away.

Ordered a miso soup, spring rolls, and a holiday roll. I wanted to eat the soup as I waited for the rest of the food and they were very accommodating.
The soup was okay. The presentation was lovely.
The holiday roll was quite tasty but the spring rolls were sub-par, tasted previously frozen.
I will definitely go back for all you can eat sushi or their lunch specials.
They are closing mid-October for the off season.

The food was good but the service was TERRIBLE. With the all-you-can-eat special, they marked up the prices contrary to their online menu (almost $10 more) and told you that you cannot share any of the food you order off of the all-you-can-eat menu. Then, they proceed to watch you your entire meal to make sure you aren't sharing. Also, one the menu for the special, it said you would be charged $1 for every pound of food you didn't eat and you could not take it home to "reduce food waste". When our waitress came around, she told us it was $5/pound. They also have the exact same roll marked with a completely different price on different areas of the menu. For example, I ordered a shrimp tempura roll for $6.75 and my friend ordered one for $17.95. The restaurant found any way it could to charge you more money and we all felt like we were being manipulated and taken advantage of. A good restaurant is supposed to serve you food, that's it. If I am paying for you food, you should not tell me I cannot share it. My friends and I all felt like we were in a prison cell and the experience was not enjoyable.

Idk why but people always seem to get mad at the $1 extra charge for each one piece of wasted food.
The thing is we shouldn't think [overordering food and I'm cool with those food I don't finish at a buffet place] is common, as you should be responsible for the food that you ordered but didn't eat. No one should waste any food shouldn't we? Especially they are fresh and expensive fish, and the sushi chefs made them straightly out of your order, you have to think it in this way, if you don't over order, then a fish won't die in vain.
If you stomach has only room for 4 rolls then don't mark 8 rolls on the all-u-can-eat checklist. One at a time okay?😉
Anyway, regardless my aggressive comment on all-u-can-eat issues, this restaurant is such a nice little place, with awesome service and welcoming staff!! Sometimes it could be packed during the night when everybody finished the sunbathing during the day and coming down here to have some beer and sushi. But they also have outdoor seating, good for family group.
And they have the best appetizers!!! 😍😍😍😍 BBQ beef sticks and spring rolls annnnnd crab rangoon are the must tries!!

I've been coming to ocean for a couple of years. My family loves asian cuisine and we have dine here whenever we come. From our experience up until now have been okay their sushi and their meals have been good considering how hard it is to find a good place that sells good quality food. As usually we order the same meals but we decide to add something new and try their chicken terikayi, beef with veggies, and as usual sushi and it was a disappointment. The chicken teriyaki, beef and the sushi tasted bland. The Teriyaki sauce was way too watery and super sweet not what a typical teriyaki sauce would taste like, sushi rice was overcook and overall we did not get the quality food we been ordering over the years plus its was not a busy day. Maybe we might visit this place again on our next OC trip but the chances are thin.

We went here for "all you can eat". We had great time, waitress was kind and explained us more than 1x how it works. We were allowed to share and food was amazing! Paid exactly 33.95+tax. And you can eat everything what is on menu! We went for appetizers and 3x hand made roll each. Full full full! :)

Fantastic experience! We had a spicy tuna roll, house special mei fun, shrimp mei fun, egg roll, miso soup, and Vietnamese noodle soup. The soup was served at the most optimal temperature. Creative and decorative plating show the staff takes pride in their work. Vegan friendly. Great service too. We highly recommend this restaurant!

This is by far the best place to get sushi in OC. The spicy salmon is my favorite.
