Everything was good. Nothing really stood out as being great, with the exception of the grilled pineapple. That was a favorite of our group. The restaurant was packed and it seemed like everyone sat at once. The place was almost empty and the. Within 15 minutes it was overrun with large groups. Due to this it took a long time (15+ minutes) to get food. The salad bar items didn’t look fresh, so I didn’t try them. The hot items were good, but the maduros were fried whole so they were sort of wet / undercooked in the center. If you’re expecting the quality of one of the popular chain churrascaria’s you’ll be disappointed, but if you have never had that experience you may really like Ipanema.

For special occasions, you can't do better than Ipanema. I have yet to bring someone here who wasn't impressed. The salad bar is so good that my pescatarian wife is more than happy to join me as I feast on the never-ending choices of deliciously roasted and seasoned meats.
We just celebrated my nephew's birthday here last night and it was exceptional. They asked if it was a special occasion, and quietly surprised us with ice cream at the end of our night.

We went for thier Thanksgiving dinner and WOW! 10 stars! EVERYTHING was perfection, the service, the food, the drinks, and the dessert. I would recommend them time and time again.

Really a gem in Ocala! Food was delicious! We arrived from out of town, later than planned, and the staff was still attentive, friendly, and the food was amazing! Excellent night out! Our picky daughter ate more in that one meal than she did all month! The pineapple was everyone's favorite!

What a fun place to go for a special occasion! Went for my son's birthday and first thing when you are seated, they ask if you are celebrating anything. He doesn't like any fuss, so he said no, but I did notice a few other tables having a dessert brought to them with a candle for other celebrations. Lots of great food for the price. They came around to our table with the house sirloin within 5 minutes, even before getting our drinks, and it was tender with great seasoning. The salad bar had lots of choices (a person in my party stated that it was the best salmon he had ever tasted that he got from the salad bar) and they had a side bar as well that had breads, rice, garlic mashed, Mac and cheese and beef stroganoff. For dessert we got the chocolate Nirvana cake and the flan, both were tasty. Staff was attentive and polite. I recommend making a reservation, when we first walked in the waiting room was full but we were brought right in to our table. When we left, the waiting room was still full of people! Only thing is the parking lot is on the small side, but there is lots of parking on the street behind the restaurant. We will definitely be back at another date to enjoy this place!

Food was spectacular, the server Roger was very attentive and on point. The gentlemen serving the meat were wonderful and courteous as well. The meat was out of this world, packed with flavor and plentiful. Definitely not for those who like well done steak. Salad bar was fresh and delicious. A wide variety. The cinnamon pineapple is a must try!!! This being our first time and anniversary, Roger made it a delightful and memorable experience with his service and a hospitality. We will definitely be returning.

While this place may seem a bit pricey the food and service are impeccable. You will not leave disappointed nor hungry. The baked pineapple is a must try if you have never experienced it. They not only have beef but lamb and chicken as well. The service is super and you never have to wonder when the next selection is coming as they are extremely attentive. One last point, make sure to call ahead for a reservation. They are always busy.

First time here, came for a work function. The meat was delicious. I had the garlic pork, garlic steak, sausage, and bacon wrapped chicken. It was all delicious. Unfortunately, they don’t have lots of options when it comes to meat. The salad bar was plentiful with lots of options. The only I did not like was our waiter who was a bit rude and wasn’t too friendly. They need to brush up on their customer service skills.

The food was great, I came for the lamb, it was a bit of a wait but when it came out it was good and HOT. The bacon wrapped chicken was great. The service was fair but nothing special. Our waiter had a big group in the other room, so that may have been why. We each bought a bunch of desserts. None of us were fans of the passion fruit dessert, but hey, it was just different. I bet many would. We came in late, around 8 pm, and stayed till about 10. My family loved it, and I can't wait to go back.
