Carnivores

Husband used to go here multiple times a month with coworkers pre-pandemic for years. Said at times the service could be slow but always enjoyed the food and wide selection of beers. I had gone twice before this evening and really liked my food. Tonight was a bit of a rough experience. Our waitress was very nice and a bit stressed out because the kitchen was backed up...it took 45 minutes for our food to come out. This is what we ordered: - general tsos shrimp wings: awesome - grilled chicken Pittsburgh salad: decent - firecracker fish: good, but not as good as pre-remodel - smaller portion, didn't seem like Mancini's bun like it used to be - crab bisque: laughable. I included a picture because words don't do it justice. Had the consistency of oatmeal. I generally don't complain about things but I was honestly so close to sending this back or asking to have it taken off the bill. If you're the kind of person who finds a dish you like and always gets the same exact thing, you'll probably be fine as long as you're willing to wait for your food. However I am honestly scared to go back and try something new after this experience. Kept the 3 stars because the beer selection is still great, the waitress was busting her butt, and the shrimp was yummy. We agreed we will most likely never return to Carnivores unless someone invites us to go, and even then we will try to suggest somewhere else.

Stopped in here a few weeks ago after being at a wrestling tournament all day and so happy we did. The food was fantastic, the portions were large enough that we all had leftovers, and the drinks were good and kept coming as soon as we needed them. Great food good service cant ask for much more and we will definitely be back next time we are on that side or the river!

Very good service! We came in late on a packed night and I guess the cook had had enough of working and made us change our orders- we're not problematic people but the other employees and manager went out of their way to apologize and make sure we were still satisfied with our experience here and the food we ordered. Gorgeous place- so many TVs!

I was excited to finally try this place. I got one of their burgers and fries and honestly I wasn't impressed. The fries were the skinny type which probably were frozen the burger was dry. If I had to rate it I'd give it a 3 at best. For being located in Oakmont I didn't think I'd be eating food that was pretty much bar food. Maybe I had the wrong idea of the type of place this was but for what it was I won't be going back. On a better note our waitress was great made sure we had full glasses and checked on us several times

Absolutely delicious. We love this place. Had the steak taco as an appetizer which was absolutely wonderful big size portion could just be a lunch or dinner. I had the grilled chicken tortellini salad it was amazing. Humongous. He loved his hoagie. This is a little hidden gem in a Oakmont. Great service too.
