SUCH a sweet place. staff was so very friendly, and the vibe there was warm and comforting. food was absolutely incredible, and they did their very very best to accommodate my food allergy. the gluten free dessert was to die for! thank you, mighty oak barrel, for such a lovely visit!
The food is awesome!! Excellent quality and great portion size! The service is great too. We have been here twice already and both times it was wonderful. The only difficult part is parking. The lot is small with no lines for spaces. Several people were parked all crooked taking up 2 spaces. We parked illegally in the lot of another business and had no trouble.
Met up with people from work at this very comfortable establishment. The food was very good. I noticed people on thier way out commenting about how good the food was to a couple just walking in. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked really good. I can recommend the filet. Truly one of the best I have had! The staff were very attentive and this place has subtle touches that sets it apart. Not a loud resturant. Conversations are not a struggle here. Something for everyone here.

One of my favorite places to go! Duck flatbread and the lobster ravioli are to die for!
We've been attending the monthly wine pairing, the wine is great the food delis and the company spectacular. Look forward to this months' treat.
Our bartender and waitress was Sarah. She is very professional and explained the menu perfectly. The drinks were strong and tasted great. Everything from the salad , entre and dessert was absolutely wmderful. Lisa and I will definitely be back,

Fourteen little old ladies celebrating two birthdays had lunch there today. We ordered various items from the menu and everything we ordered was excellent. The food was hot and the service was excellent - not an easy thing to do when you're cooking for and serving fourteen people at one time. We give this restaurant 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

Great food, SLOW service. Food was excellent with very large portions. However dinner was served over 90 min after the group arrived.
A Great Restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. Went to Mighty Oak Barrel for the first time since it has changed ownership. We loved it before and we still love it! the food was very good, service attentive and still has a nice intimate atmosphere. We will be back soon!
The best duck in town. The atmosphere is fantastic. We ate our diner at the bar and our bartender Amy is too cool. So much fun . Never had better service and better food. The owner( Lisa) is interactive with her guests and makes you deel at home . Highly recommended restaurant. Cheers

Interesting.... Took a business party of 6 here tonight - all first-timers. Most unassuming location, but easy enough to find once you navigate the awful bridge with the slowest-changing lights in history. But I digress...
Small and closely-packed tables, not an issue with a 6pm reservation but not sure I'd see this as a great location for an intimate soiree with a date. Food was remarkably fresh, inventive and ample. Portions were appropriate but I thought desserts were oversized. Prices were reasonable for the quality and service - experience to spend $60 per head if you're wine drinkers. Would definitely visit again.
My wife and I go there frequently for wine tastings and dinner. We always have a great meal there and the service is exceptional. I would really like them to get bigger wine glasses for the red wine! Please Grainne!
One of my favorite places in Pittsburgh. I have been going to the Mighty Oak Barrel for about 5 years, and have always had a wonderful experience. The food is wonderful - interesting, fresh, wonderful presentation, and above all tasty. My favorite item I ordered was a calamari (not fried) with olives and other good stuff - unfortunately it was one of their specials and they don't repeat those...
The drinks are very good as well - again, lots of interesting choices.
The service has always been wonderful - I don't know how many people work there, but it always feels like the same 4 or so people wait on us, and they have all been fantastic.
The other thing that keeps me coming back is that it is an upscale restaurant with a casual flare as well - I would feel comfortable dressed up, or more casual...
Wonderful little gem hidden close to the Oakmont bakery. Food was excellent - the serving size was well worth the price. Wait staff was excellent as well, very knowledgeable of the menu and was extremely attentive. Parking is at a premium and I highly recommend a reservation
Visited for the first time last night and it was wonderful! Most Italian restaurants are pretty much the same but this one stands out as exceptional. Gnocchi Bolognese, lobster ravioli, and calamari were fantastic! Salad contained almonds, dried fruit, and blue cheese which I would not normally have eaten but it was well balanced and was excellent with the champagne vinaigrette.
There were only 2 servers working a packed restaurant on Saturday night and they were wonderful. Service was still great and the kitchen was just as busy with a lot of people coming in for takeout but the food was still prepared with care and was amazing! This is now my new favorite Italian restaurant.
This place is hidden down a small side street, the place is small outside and inside. Limited parking. Saying that, this place is GREAT! Great server/bartender, the menu had a lot of options. The portions are HUGE! Price is right. My go to place every time I visit Pittsburgh.
This place is such a cute and quaint lil gem tucked away in the corner of Oakmont. The staff is always so friendly and the food is so decadent!!! I've had their salmon and their filet and both amazing dishes. The best food is town by far! I placed an order for a steak salad for take out and unfortunately got the wrong salad but didnt notice until I got home. I called the restaurant and Max one of the chefs offered to bring it to me and rectified the situation so quickly. Love the service, staff and food. I will for sure continue to support this amazing establishment!!
Food was delicious and portions generous. Service was excellent. However, place was small and could be difficult to get a table on weekends.
We had take out. All the food was great. Based on personal preference, would have requested removal of pickled onions on beet salad and extra goat cheese.
One of our absolute favorite restaurants in greater Pittsburgh! We love the food, atmosphere and the family and staff that makes up MOB from back of house to front of house. Highlights of the menu include Fried Calamari, MOB Salad with Champagne + Balsamic Vin, Crispy Fried Chicken, Grilled Salmon, Twin Filet, Pecan Crusted Trout, Coconut Shrimp, Chicken Caprese, and the Burger, Fish and Reuben Sandwiches - so almost the entire menu! Their home made desserts are delicious and Max is know to brew up some house beer! Highly recommend for delicious food and amazing, friendly service!
The restaurant was warm and welcoming and the food was very good. It’s a great place to bring your significant other on a date. The prices trended a bit higher than other places but the food kept up with the price paid
