Review Tie Food - Oakland

A regular neighborhood Thai spot was closed for lunch, so I thought this might be a good option. The food was prepared quickly I must say, and the man at the counter was friendly, but I srly doubt anyone of Thai heritage or culinary training works here. I only ordered 4 items, 3 of which were amateurishly prepared, and while I'm hesitant to say inedible, perhaps "unappetizing" would be a kinder phrase. The Tom Kha soup was passable, served with lotsa of button mushrooms in the creamy coconut milk broth with faint hint of lemongrass. Amongst my other choices, the rice noodles of the Pad Thai were all clumped together in a starchy ball, indicating the preparer was inexperienced and did not rinse them at all after boiling...I tried two items off the American Snack Food side of the menu and the french fries were of the frozen serrated cut style, but boxed up still soggy and undercooked...sigh. The portion was sizable but these mealy fries had no crispy golden brown edges, or even texture. I ended up salvaging them by seasoning them and laying them on a baking sheet in my own oven for another 15 minutes to air fry them with convection heat and get them crisped at least. A side order described as fried chicken, appeared to be nothing but a box of thin grey pieces of battered chicken skin, almost like pork cracklins. I wasn't sure if this was a Thai street delicacy I had never heard of, or just a tragic mistake.

Ordered for the first time today. I was in the mood for mango sticky rice and since I couldn’t get it from my usual place (they are closed today, best I’ve ever had) I decided to take a chance on this place and was throughly disappointed. It was like soup, disgustingly sweet and the mango was barely ripe. I knew it was gonna be bad as soon as I looked at it though. Sigh.

Me and my friends tried some food here. We ordered Basil Chicken, Veggies Fried rice, Pad Se Ew prawns and Chicken wings. Everything were so good, tasty and they gave big portions. Overall it was a very good experience. Cashier was very friendly and polite. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Food was quick and tasty. We ordered fried rice, pad thai and pad kee mao. Fried rice was our favorite and we’ll have to try the curry next time. The portion was quite large and the owners were very kind.

I purchased chicken pad thai. It lacked seasoning! Even when I used chili sauce and some lime. It was disappointing considering I don't live near by.

I love Tai food....this was bland and flavorless...I had the chicken with fried rice...disgusting...the yellow curry that came with the empanada type appetizers tasted like sweet dishwasher soap...I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN TOTAL RIP OFF...I don't even think Tai people are cooking the food... I REPEST THIS IS NOT TAI FOOD!

Food was delivered with missing items, quality was low. Pad Thai rubbery. Chicken satay very dry. Will never eat here again.
