Food is not bad, steak sandwich was really good!
Good serving sizes, pistachio ice cream isn’t my fav, bubble gum is so yummy!! We also got the blueberry swirl and strawberry cheesecake, it’s great as well! I think they have the specials that change pretty regularly as well, which is very interesting.

Ever since I heard about this place, I wanted to visit this ice cream parlor so this was a first time visit. The place is cute! Very nice atmosphere, friendly, welcoming & warm staff. Service is super!! Parking is challenging.
Once inside, we had Ice cream which was ok.
Food left much to be desired in terms of flavor. Except for their onion rings which were delicious, I ordered a BLT and my son a cheeseburger. In my BLT I could only taste buttered bread and nothing else. Really disappointing. I didn't finished the sandwich because it wasn't good; And the hamburger was bland and tasteless as well
I probably may no return but I am glad I crossed off an item from my bucket list 🙂.

It's all about the ice cream! Food is still good, but it's secondary. Still my favorite toasted almond ice cream. Mitchell's in SF is a close second.
The Black and Tan is part of my last meal dessert. 😉

Ice cream is good (will not give samples so lots of guessing). Sundaes are large but a bit overpriced ($15-18) and can be shared. Pie - got peach (6/10) and apple (4/10) - filling was good but soggy crust; size of slices varied drastically - by about 50%. Would go back because this is a nostalgic (good for taking tourist friends) but there are many ice cream shops that offer equitable or better (!!) sundaes.

Patty's were juicy, onion rings were fat and crispy and the ice-cream was abundant, rich and darn good delicious
😋 👌. 💪🖱
Plan on trying the whole menu.

Fenton's is Oakland's finest ice cream parlor (arguably) and for good reason! They have a plethora of flavors (no sampling) and different ways to experience - scoops, sundaes, sandwiches. I got the chocolate peanut butter crunch single scoop and man was it delicious. I could taste the real peanut butter crunch with every spoonful. The place was packed on a Saturday night and we had to wait 10 minutes to order, but it was worth the wait.
Seating inside is only if you dine in - they do have a few benches outside if you're just getting ice cream here. Come here if you're looking for some quality ice cream and to support a local favorite.

Pure chaos inside and out and overpriced, but a really fun experience. In our experience and Insta-friendly world, places like Fentons either thrive or die. Fentons has thrived with their old-timey soda fountain feel and wide and yummy menu, but the added popularity has brought total chaos outside and in managing the demand. Food is yummy and almost all “comfort” of diner type foods. Ice cream menu is huge and all items were great. Prices are high but portions are big. Expect long and confusing waits for a table, long waits for food and a very loud and chaotic environment. Is it worth it? Sure. Would I do it again? Eh….

I didnt like the zucchini strips (Platter) but I love their chicken tenders/strips.
Must try: eggnog ice cream (seasonal) and chocolate marble.
Parking is a bit hard to find/wait during peak hours.
