Review Red Boy Pizza - Oakland

We went here on a busy Friday night. Our server Katrina was amazing. We got all our food fairly quickly and it was very good. We had over 14 people in our group and Katrina did a great job taking care of us. Loved the desserts!

Local, small chain. The sourdough crust and friendly, neighborly atmosphere won me over. Lively and unpretentious. Beer on tap, wine and other Italian-American fare in addition to the pizza. A favorite spot for my family.

Best 🍕 and pasta in town. Beer wine and super customer service. Wonderful family atmosphere ! I highly recommend this place!

We live in the neighborhood so we do our best to support the restaurant. We've met the owners and they are delightful but years later I think I'm giving up. Every time we go there is some sort of an issue. Wrong items, missing items, ridiculously slow service, you name it. Every single time we get take out they screw up the order and have mostly fixed it but why do I need to check every little thing? They have given us credits that were mysteriously missing the next time we come in... Last night we didn't get an online confirmation so we called ahead and was told it was ready. Upon arrival my kid was handed the order and headed out. I was elated it was actually ready but then I realized they didn't give her all the food... ah yes there it is... The food is delicious for sure but it's just not worth it anymore. And our favorite, the garlic cheese bread has gone from 4 large slices to 2 smallish dry crusts of bread (note the penny for scale) for 6 BUCKS?!? SHORT VERSION- food is good but for the price I'd go elsewhere unless you don't mind not getting what you ordered...

Since it was the only restaurant open in the area I gave it a try, but it was very expensive ($20 for a personal pizza) and it wasn't quite good, the tomato tasted kinda rotten. But I was already to far to come back and complain. Anyways I wouldn't recommend it

We got the traditional with pepperoni, salami, sausage, bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, onions. Very tasty with a thin-medium crust, good browning, slight char on bottom, slight crisp outside, chewy sourdough inside. Great low key location with outside seating, for now at least!

Very nice service however the pizza came completely deformed some slices had no cheese Pretty disappointed for almost $30 pizza

If you like a crisp sourdough crust with nice roasting around the edges, quality toppings and a great solution for dine in (CV over soon I hope!) or out, Red Boy is our local answer for pizza. Nice salads and beer too!

My sons favorite restaurant :) pizzas are decent.
