Akat Cafe Kalli - Oakland - Photo album

Very good coffee and salmon cream cheese avocado bagel! Chilaquiles with eggs and coffee is a great deal too the combo is just $10.
Loved Akat Cafe and their delicious specialty roast coffee from Chiapas was one of my favorites in town. Has recently changed hands... now called OakCali, it remains a lovely, kind, local coffee spot with more food and drink options and same pleasant outdoor seating.
Delicious food. Friendly and kind welcome to all. I like the Califas bagel. Pic attached!
Nice, funky/cozy little place. Great vibe. The staff is friendly, as are other customers. The coffee is decent, as are the pastries, and it's a local business. Oakland needs more places like this (they're disappearing in case you haven't noticed). Give them a try, and decide for yourself.
Came here because the breakfast wait at Portal was to much and I was hungry. I love the people and the feel of the place. Unpretentious. Could use some window shades and/or better air circulation, pretty hot inside on a sunny say.
I just got back from Akat Cafe Kalli with the best Americano I've ever had. Jose was very helpful and heard me out on what kind of roasts I like and he pegged me correctly with this drink. The place has a very welcoming, cozy and clean ambiance. Your coffee is ready promptly and by the time it's in
Finally, a refreshing community-based cafe that diverts from the typical hipster coffee spots. Not only do they have the best drip coffee in the Bay (which is from their partner Sin Fronteras Coffee, a non-profit organization that works directly with indigenous coffee bean growers throughout Latin A
Friendly staff. Great food. Within walking distance from Lake Merritt if you wanna enjoy a nice walk in the morning. Coming here has been my Saturday ritual for a while.
