Philz Coffee - Oakland - Photo album

I was excited to try, but I wanted to like it more than I actually did. The menu was a bit confusing - labeled something like "coffee creations" I thought I was ordering 2 flavored lattes. Turns out one was just a coffee with the "notes" listed, and the other tasted like black coffee with hot chocol
What's not to love? Consistently good coffee, lots of variety in terms of roasts and flavors. Nice neighborhood to walk around and explore while having coffee. If you like a pour over style coffee, this is the place to go. Not bird friendly though.. bird spikes everywhere. Not sure how I feel about
The coffee was great, perfectly prepared as per instructions. I would suggest, however, that one orders on the app on the way to allow time to make it. There were so many to go and uber orders, it took them 10 mins to make our coffee, and we were standing there. I mean, big deal, 10 mins, but next
Terrible experience. I came here with about thirty minutes to spare during my lunch break and the coffee ended up taking about twenty five minutes to make. Be warned: THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLY SLOW. Also, they just randomly put an entire mint stalk in my chai!? I did not ask for this and it was not p
I just walked in, simply trying to order some coffee. Despite waiting for 5 minutes with nobody else in line, not a single barista was willing to take my order. Would not recommend, unless you have a whole afternoon to spare.
Waited 5 minutes to be told it was going to take 20 to make my drink. I’ve been to 5 other locations around California that are all a delight. This location seems to be run poorly.
Crowded!!! Beware of coming between 8-3 as you will likely not find a spot to wait. Order through the app as coming in to order will be 10-15min+. I’m a fair-weather fan of Philz but beware how busy this location can get.
The mint mojito was cold and refreshing. The latte was like a warm hug.
