French owner and chef, Great place with a great service. Affordable prices. Free parking on site. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.
To me this is the best breakfast in Fort Lauderdale. My personal favorite is a chicken, spinach, and Parmesan omelette with a baguette. Oh and the OJ is fresh squeezed!
Very nice. We went with friends, who had only been there for lunch. We found the dinner prices a bit higher than lunch, but not unexpected. We asked about beers and the server brought the entire selection and knew all the choices. The beers were just like they were described. We all ordered the French Onion Soup, which they make completely from scratch. That includes their own bread and cheese. It was wonderful, about the best I have had. The Mussells appetizer was huge and only $13. The Endive Salad was nicely presented and the person who had it, liked it. My wife had the Chicken Marsala and was very happy with her choice. I had the pork chop special, with a mustard glaze/gravy, mashed potatoes, and a small bean stew/cassolette. It was very good. We had three desserts, all wonderful, a Key Lime Tart, a Fruit Tarte and a Mango Guava Cheesecake. Service was top notch.
Good food. Rendez-vous is at its best when the owner is there. The food is authentically French. I often order two appetizers because the main portions are too big and I like to have a small dessert at the end. The moules a la creme are delicious and the escargots, as well. A small salad is still quite big. The charcuterie are excellent. I wish they had a menu fixe with four courses for about $15-$20 - like a cup of soup, a small appetizer, a small main dish and a dessert. It is a good restaurant to sit with someone and talk over good food - there are no loud TV screens to make you scream at each other. AND there is no problem parking, no hassle with valets. I recommend it.
Great Crepes. Friday nite was not crowded and it allowed for conversation with the staff about the restaurant. My friend provided great background dinner music on his keyboard and accordion (Fri & Sat). The soups and the crepes were excellent. The scallops au gratin and the escargot were just ok. The dessert was worth waiting for and we were told the owner/chef bakes them daily in the wee hours of the morning. The decor could use a little spruce up but everything was clean and the staff was great. Def a repeat restaurant!
I tried this hidden gem when I was alone for lunch, loved the roast beef aus jus, went back for dinner - had the beef bourguignon - loved it! Definitely going back!
Great dining at Modest prices. I haven't bee back to Rendez-Vous since new owners took over. What a pleasant surprise. Don't miss Monday night's "all you can eat mussels"
Outstanding!
What a GEM!!. I previously had breakfast here and had a poor experience so you can imagine my surprise at what an EXCELLENT dinner experience we had last night. From the food to the service, everything was right on!! We will definitely return.
My Favorite Breakfast place. Great Breakfast menu, not the normal scrambled eggs & bacon... great choices, great for lunch too.
Great overall experience.... My wife and I come here frequently and it's definitely our favorite little bistro in South Florida. The food, ambiance, and service are always top notch. Sometimes we go to fancier places or to more well-known establishments, but we ALWAYS come back to Rendez-vous. I've never gotten anything here that I didn't think was really good. Whenever we just want to go somewhere where we know the food will be great and the atmosphere will be relaxed, this is our spot. Also, Pascal, the owner, is a really great guy and tries to make sure that you have a good experience. Highly recommended.
Why did I wait so long to check out!. Sunday breakfast was terrific.
Service was outstanding.
Nice variety on the menu - very nice environement.
Can't wait to try dinner.
An Oasis amoungst the tasteless. Hi folks. Don't miss this wonderful restaurant for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The Owner is a true pastery Chef and all his dishes reflect his skill in the kitchen. It's like visiting a cozy cafe in the french coutryside.....
Enjoy!
Cute little bistro that you wouldn’t expect in Oakland park. I come here regularly for weekend breakfasts and they never disappoint. Great, fresh baked croissants, and always a fresh and delicious meal. Service is fast and attentive as well.
Food is AMAZING!!! Friendly staff..
Great atmosphere
Overall experience 10/10
My husband decided to take his sister and I for brunch. The food was good, could have been better but other than that it was okay. The atmosphere was nice, the only thing is its a bit small and everyone was close.
It was my first time here and we went for breakfast . It is a cozy small place and unfortunately that morning there was a young soccer team having breakfast and they were so loud you could hardly hear the server. Service was very good and the food was ok and brought to the table very fast .
Food was good, the service was great. It felt like we teleported to somewhere in Montreal
We went to this restaurant on a suggestion from a friend. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the breakfast. However, it was not quite as consistent as we thought, as our second visit, although the food was good, was not quite as good as the first time. Also, the service is good, but not great. There seems to be only one waitress, and we would appreciate a little more attentiveness with the coffee. However, the food is quite good, and we will definitely go back. If I could give this location 4.5 stars, I definitely would do that.

I was with my life companion Conrad and we had a "hankering" for something French-inspired. Some French Onion Soup & a box of pastries. Also ordered (unpictured) was Quiche Lorraine and the Fish and Chips.
A hidden gem!!! Seriously, this place is one of our favorites! The customer service is ALWAYS on point! Super friendly and attentive! The food is seriously fantastic and unique! I am addicted to their salmon platter! Ugh, it comes with this like caper sauce that seriously is to die for! Their bacon is cooked perfectly... every time! I also love their Cappuccino! My son gets the steak and egg breakfast... and he loves it! For dinner, I would recommend the fish and chips or the Boef Bourguignon! You feel like you time traveled to France when you eat here!!! Now, the pastries!! We always leave with a box of various pastries when we come here! Chocolate chip cookies, blueberry muffins, tiramisu, raspberry cheesecake, Creme Brule, chocolate mousse, and more! It really is a wonderful restaurant and bakery! We can't wait to go back!
These photos were taken on my second visit here. Heard about the place from a local resident. The food and service was top notch with both visits and looking forward to my next trip.
Jessica is beyond amazing. She not only has the best memory, reciting menu specials without a single hesitation, she has a huge heart to match. I've never been to a restaurant where I felt so cared for. I have so many allergies, and she made sure everything was safely prepared and allergen free. This is my first experience where there was such amazing attention to detail. They really care about their customers. Beautiful restaurant, beautiful workers.
