Taco Libre

UPDATED: Previous visits the food and salsa was exceptional. My last visits the food was subpar. The pork carnitas was fatty and scrappy with pale iceberg lettuce. The meals lacked cohesion of flavors. They stopped serving the cucumber avocado salsa, which is one of the unique things that kept me coming back. I hope they can get back on track. The higher prices warrant better quality food. EARLIER REVIEW: Gloriously delicious! The cucumber avocado salsa is worth a visit by itself.

I will not go back. I was excited to try the Machete, an 18 inch taco. I chose to have it with chicken. The chicken looked like cat food and did not taste like chicken. We fed 2 kids and 3 adults and it was over $70. It's 3 times as expensive as TB and half as good. Ew. The cake was moist and wonderful. This is the 1st restaurant I have ever given less than 4 stars to.

Our first time having TacoLibre and we ordered the Beef Asada and the Tinga de Pollo street tacos. I personally wasn't a fan of the Tinga de pollo but it wasn't horrible or anything. We ordered the Asada but i believe they gave us picodillo instead. We didn't notice it until we got home and didnt want to go back as it was already late. We decided to try it instead but it ended really bland and dry. I dont usually use the salsa but this time I had to because it of it being so bland and dry. We were really hoping for it to be good.

It’s so amazing you pay $60 for tacos you tip them they forget the food that you ordered they don’t want to refund you this is a business that doesn’t need to exist this is a poor place they should not be open I will never go back again I hope everyone sees how they overcharge for tacos and don’t deliver what you pay for this is so sad!

Food is good, the cashier was pretty rude when I went in to pick up an order though. I checked my order before I left and noticed they forgot to pack 2 items so I went back to the line and told the employee, she acted like it was my fault and I inconvenienced her for their mistake. Gave me the missing item with no apology but a dead fish stare. If you think that is appropriate customer service I assure you it is not.

First time i was ever told they do not offer water. Not interested in buying your over priced bottles. Food was WAY over priced, extremely small portions on little foam trays. All the tables were dirty with food remnants. Also, I got sick later on from the food. People next to us had hair in their food. Might be time for the health inspector to make a visit. Update: They don’t offer water anymore, because they don’t have any filtration systems for their city water. Pretty sure it’s required by city code. Spoke to Luna Ramirez who provided scripted apologies with no solutions.
