Tilted Kilt

I visited partly because of the terrible reviews this place has received. It seemed too bogus to be true. Please read them. People have unfairly and irresponsibly painted this place bad. Tilted kilt has a decent beer selection, the server and busser were friendly and attentive, the food was good... Ok, the fries could have been crisper, the burger could have been more evenly seasoned, but... seriously? It's a sports bar. The timing was fine. The restaurant was clean. I'm not gonna get sick. The experience here was more or less exactly as expected.

This place is franchised owned, to which I can honestly say has kept the TK spirit alive and well. We were greeted kindly at the door, and our servers was fantastic! Our server checked up on us and made sure our drinks were never low (always a great plus in my books.) not to mention she was gorgeous! Haha. After we had finished dining, we got up to play some darts. I wish I had gotten a name but maybe the manager or owner? She saw we were playing with one dart and offered us a whole set of darts, she was so helpful nice too! Overall it was a great experience and would definitely return for more!

Its been 5 years since i last ate at a tilted kilt after a bad experience. I was in town for a firefighter conference and stopped by for a quick bite to eat since it was close. Nicki was the bartender, right away she was very welcoming, funny, and courteous. My drink never made it past half glass before she offered another, and food was great. I watched her work the entire time, she was top notch interacting with every customer even when it got busy and never stopped running around, you have a great employee, definitely got a customer back. It was my birthday today. Not to the bad, but just quick choice, I went to a close-by competitor to celebrate my birthday. I was served a beer I ordered but then TOTALLY ignored by the barmaid there. I had a coupon for free food there and would have probably ordered another beer...in the immediate, I decided to pay for my beer and leave. Coming to TK Oakbrook, I was greeted warmly by Alexis at the bar, had an awesome, friendly conversation and received great service and redeemed my birthday lunch which I really enjoyed tremendously. That (other) place was strictly..... for the..birds....TK won out for sure today!!! Thanks for making my birthday fun!!!!

Good food (try the hot pretzel bread for an appetizer), and friendly service. The girls are NOT hard to look at in their cute (yet skimpy) kilt costumes, which means it takes an effort to maintain eye contact while ordering. Overall, decent place to grab some quick food, and it feels classier than Hooters.
