Review Blarney Stone - Oak Forest

Stopped in after the pride parade in Chicago for the first time! Our bartender Kim was very friendly and hospitable! Kate came over and started a very pleasant conversation with us. A wonderful experience. Seasoned fries were so good!

The building inside and out looks nice. We stopped there after seeing a movie at Marcus Theater, after seeing their menus online. When we got there though, that was about the extent of the good. The two bartenders were way more interested in telling stories to each other rather than paying attention to their people at the bar. Maybe it was just a weird time. We tried asking for menus but we were either ignored or they didn't hear us for their story. Once we pulled money out to pay for the drinks they were quick to come over 😄 paid and left, got food at Miner Dunn on the way home instead.

It's not a bad place they do have a really decent selection of craft beers that are not considered domestic I have ordered appetizers from here before I believe I ordered the Irish/Reuben egg rolls they were over fried. For the most part the servers were friendly and very accommodating and I did happen to show up on a bingo night that ended up also turning into a karaoke night all in all of you go there after 9:00 it gets pretty lively.

Seasoned fries and pizza were good. Pizza for dine in is always good, delivered pizza always misses the mark for us.

Had a great time. Had met some people next to us and found that they liked Bourbon as much as we did. Was great conversation. And now have some new friends. P.S. The service was EXCELLENT !

Food and service was excellent! Even though the Bartender (Kevin?, I didn't get his name), was working alone, he was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Will definitely come back!

Friendly service. Ate outdoors everyone was social distancing. Staff wore facemasks. Wasnt required for customers. Had the 12'' Calzone and barely ate half if it. Always a great place for awesome food and drinks. First time trying the calzones which I had heard so much about. About $15 for the 12'', but well worth it as I said I was stuffed after half of it so I've got a meal for later too!

Waitress didn't know how much beers were or how much a bucket was. I do like this place as a good south side Irish place though. Just need to train the staff better.
