5/5 for what it is: a dive bar on the dock. We went to the Shuck Shack. No liquor, beer and wine only. Good draft and beer bottle/can list.
Wings were VERY crispy and the sauce was good - we ordered medium but could have gotten hot. Half order was good for a quick lunch bite. Also ordered the beer battered shrimp plate, not sure they were beer battered but they were very fresh and delicious. Nice fries, okay slaw. Pre-made cocktail sauce and no tarter sauce. Not sure what was up with that.
Nestled on Martha’s Vineyard’s tranquil waterfront, Coop de Ville promises both an aesthetic and culinary treat. The ambiance, coupled with their expertly crafted wings, offers an experience that is distinct and memorable.
Wing Flavors Breakdown:
1. 3 Mile Island: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
• Flavor Profile: This sauce is a masterclass in achieving the perfect equilibrium between heat and depth of flavor. Its layered composition gives an initial spicy punch, followed by subtle and savory undertones that make it irresistibly moreish.
• Consistency: Strikes the right balance, ensuring every wing is uniformly coated without being drowned.
2. Jamaican Jerk (Wet & Dry): 🌶️
• Flavor Profile: Distinctive for its blend of spicy, sweet, and savory, the Jamaican Jerk here leans away from the excessive sweetness often associated with this flavor. Instead, it presents a well-rounded taste experience that echoes authentic Caribbean flavors.
• Consistency: The wet version offers a glossy, rich coat, while the dry gives a textured, seasoned exterior, catering to varied preferences.
3. Suicide: 🌶️🌶️
• Flavor Profile: Contrary to its menacing name, the Suicide offers a delightful heat without pushing boundaries. The flavor is robust and rounded, making it a choice pick for those who appreciate spice without extreme intensity.
• Consistency: Sufficiently saucy, ensuring each wing is enveloped in its rich flavor without becoming soggy.
4. Cajun (Wet & Dry): 🌶️
• Flavor Profile: This is where southern charm meets the wing world. The Cajun offers a peppery and smoky taste, evoking the rustic flavors of Louisiana.
• Consistency: The wet variant provides a moist and tangy experience, while the dry seasoning brings out the crunch and character of the wing, allowing for a dual experience.
Recommendations: The 3 Mile Island stands out as a must-try for its unparalleled flavor journey. However, each sauce brings its unique charm to the table. Depending on your preference for heat, sweetness, or a fusion of both, there’s a flavor awaiting your discovery at Coop de Ville.
In Summary: Coop de Ville isn’t just about the wings; it’s about the art of wing-making. The meticulous crafting of each sauce, the consistency, and the evident passion behind each flavor profile make it a premier destination for wing aficionados. If you’re visiting Martha’s Vineyard, a pit stop here isn’t just recommended; it’s essential. 🍗🌊🔥
Coupe DeVille offers the best view, yummy food, it is not as over crowded as the lookout.
Very nice spot for a quick bite. Beer and Wine bar only
Great view of the water and boats
Best spot on the island! We have been coming to the vineyard for many years, and no place will ever make you feel more at home than Petey and his staff at the Coop. The food is wonderful pub grub, we especially love the wings, lobsterfest, oysters, and scallop roll. My kids love the fish and chips. The place itself reminds me of a little hole in the wall in key west, unlimited charm, and good banter from Brendan.
We can’t wait to come back.
This place is very busy since it’s at a prime spot. Service is attentive and menu price is reasonable.
The sunset scene is very memorable!
If you're looking for solid buffalo wings in an outdoor space on the water then I think you're looking for Coop De Ville. I'm a little bit if a buffalo wing elitist but they're pretty good. Grab a beer and some wings and stick around for sunset over the water.
Great seafood, delicious wings and fried pickles, extensive beer menu with nice staff and a beautiful setting overlooking the marina. Do come early if you want to avoid the crowds.
Fiya wings and a cool place to hang with friends. Great staff. Wish it was open year round. An island classic.
Our food was served nice and hot. The lobster was fresh and tasty. Our server gave me a taste of the draft beer before I ordered it. Excellent service.
This place has some of the best steak tips in New England! Also has some amazing views of Oak Bluffs Harbor.

A small dive. Went for the Tuesday lobster special ... For the $25 it was far better than I thought it would be. Cannot speak to any other food offering. Beer was cold
Great fried clams. Great fries. Coleslaw was very different from what I like. Service was good. Nice views.
Best chicken wings, cold beer and excellent service. This is a must visit restaurant on the island.
Gotta love local fishers and a friendly staff!!! I tried several different options from the menu and it's so hard to pick one clear winner because everything was delicious. I was able to remember to take at least one picture before inhaling the rest of the meal. See the scallop roll and basket of fries. If you're on the island make sure you give this place a try.
