I have visited this restaurant on a few occasions. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating . The food may seem pricey to some, however the portion sizes are large and in my specific experiences have led to lunch for the following day. Good selection of craft beverages as well as soft drinks and the deserts are one of a kind and delicious. I always leave here full. Definitely worth enjoying this restaurant with tire friends.

We ate outside which was nice but couldn't escape the sun (it was a rare hot day in Norwich). Food was very good. Neither of us liked the salad that came with the meal as the greens were tough (late season produce I think). Desserts were fabulous. Inside looked lovely and cozy.

For spending $170 for a meal for 4 in Norwich, NY, I expected to have a completely different experience than the one I had. The customer service was among the worst I’ve ever had. The waitress barely knew what she was doing. We asked her what the beer options were and she said she didn’t memorize the menu. We asked what the best dishes were and she said everything, before reading down the menu the new items this week. What takes the cake though is the whole experience with undercooked steak. We told the waitress the steak was undercooked, and she told us the chef just left for the night (what chef leaves as people are just getting their meal?), and didn’t offer to rectify the situation in any way. The absolute gross part of the night though was the interaction with the owner. She came out to meet us and mentioned hearing the steak was undercooked. You’d think she’d follow that up with a remedy for the situation right? Her answer to that…”I’ll teach the waitress how to cook.” Worst customer service ever. Will never get another meal out of me.

I used to enjoy this restaurant a lot. The food is delicious. However, I went with a friend of mine the other day and we ordered a quiche and a curry turkey chicken bowl. The dishes of food were in the middle of our table for us to share. Halfway through the meal as I was getting a forkful, I noticed a hair in my food about 4 inches long. It was underneath the food not on top. They immediately took the food back after we discreetly showed them. The owner, Who has medium length strawberry blondish hair with bangs, came back and told us the hair is blond ( I have long blond hair), and all the cooks have dark hair. I noticed the cooks came out of the kitchen to look at us.. it was her way of accusing me of putting my own hair in the food. My hair is not short. I would not do that to save ten bucks.. quite frankly it probably came from the owner. This is not how a customer should ever be treated. Very disappointed. I will never go back.. just be aware people..

While visiting family in Bainbridge, my husband and I ate here on a Saturday night. The menu was diverse and the atmosphere was fantastic. I ordered the Korean flank steak stir fry, which they made spicy upon request. It was perfect, the steak was tender and the vegetables were nicely cooked and caramelized. My husband orders the goat cheese and spinach stuffed chicken and he said it was delicious. The chicken was moist, the rice cooked perfectly, not mushy, and the cauliflower side was great. I had the "Not Your Father's Root Beer", it was very good. A beer beverage that tastes and drinks like a high quality Root Beer. Husband had the homemade lemonade, which he says was good. The balsamic and lemon vinaigrette were delicious and didn't over power the salad, which was fresh and crispy. It seems like a kid friendly restaurant, the bathrooms were clean and the waitress was very attentive without being over bearing. Definitely going to visit again.

My husband and I discovered The Bohemian Moon a few years ago when I searched "places to eat in Norwich" at lunch time. We have been back as often as possible since then. We've brought friends with us who have gone back on their own. The food is delicious and unusual. The service is friendly. We once arrived a few minutes before closing after attending calling hours and were assured they'd love to serve us and that we should take our time. It's that and the wonderful food that will keep us coming back!

I really wanted to love this. Took a ride today for lunch and ordered. My lunch was Black Angus BBQ burger, ordered it specified wellness and asked for fries crispy! All set waited for it to arrive. Well it was not cooked properly and I think, if your cook / chef can not properly cook meat to order why bother asking? When I was asked how it was the waitress saw before I had to say anything and she said it is done the way you requested do you want me to take it back? I said no ...it is never better when you send it back being a burger with condiments on it and fries were still not crispy.
My husband had the special said it was okay but just okay. Ordered dessert which was too cold to enjoy and asked for a to go box, had it later and it too was okay not up to what I expected.
I may travel the 45 minutes to try again but in all honesty I will probably just go back to La Maison because it is always great.
