Great cheap home style breakfast. Customer service was outstanding. Came for breakfast and the place was pretty busy but people seem to be in and out so the wait wasn’t long. The breakfast items are cheap and you won’t be let down. They have the best biscuits I have ever had! Crispy hash browns! I recommend the chicken biscuit, it was so good I had to order a second one! I will definitely be back to City Cafe next time I’m in town.

Great food in an old diner feel. We went during the lunch rush and had a short wait for a table. The servers did not stop moving the entire time we were there. . from taking orders, delivering food, and clearing tables..they helped each other like a well organized team. The food was reminiscent of Grandma's Sunday dinner. Highly recommend this place.

The food is fresh and DELICIOUS!!! We had seasoned cabbage cooked just right, candied yams, hamburger steak with gravy and onions. DELICIOUS!! And the apple cobbler was OFF THE CHAIN DELICIOUS!! Beef tips n rice, Mac n cheese, okra were also. Service was Excellent!! We will be back.

Best vegetables in the country also wonderful breakfast early in the morning.8-15-17 got me a western omelet this morning, and some reason toast.12-11-17 chef salad and vegetables. Me and friend are you eating LH.10-1-18 . Me and my wife are eating lunch. 10-21-2019, 2- 17-20 Just catfish .8-24-20 Meatloaf.9-29-20, Chefs salad with vegetables. 11-25-20, 12-01-20 Western omelet 02 -08-21 breakfast3-3-21,4-19-21.LH. For The City Cafe there should be a 10 ☆ !! It's like my grandma is In back cooking..you bearly get done ordering and your fresh food is on the table!! And a full meal is under $8...really now a days..this is a classic and worth whatever wait there Is! Also...i hate cornbread..but whatever it is The City Cafe uses to make their's..oh my God!! Melts in your mouth..fresh fluffy..amazing taste!! Everything's on the menu is absolutely amazing Hot & fresh !! Staff is always happy and so helpful!! No matter how busy make sure your taken care of..this is a must do!! I miss classic Cafe's and this is #1!! Roll Tide!!

Whenever I travel back to Northport I make sure I eat there at least two or three times!!! The owner Jodi is one of the sweetest women on the planet and will make sure you get a great meal and warm southern hospitality when you eat at the cafe....

The City Cafe was a life saver back in the day while at UofA when $1.20 after 3:00 bought you a plate full of food and sweet tea ! Still stop by if I am in town and still as good .

The best down home cooking in Alabama. The food is as good now, as it was when I use to hang out there as a teenager back in the '80's. Biscuits so good, your tongue will nearly knock your eyes out to get that last crumb.
