We asked in town if there was a dog friendly tavern and we were directed to the Tan Turtle at the marina. True to their word the patio was indeed dog friendly. It was a very warm day and without hesitation our server brought Kyle water and treats before she even asked what we wanted. Our meal was huge so the adults took 'doggy bags' home and everyone was very happy. Great view of the marina as well.

My wife and I have gone to the tan turtle a few times, and we've mainly had really positive experiences. However, the last time we went (end of August, party of 22), we did run into some issues. Food was great, but the service was a little lacking when it came time to get our checks. It took close to an hour to get our bills, as the server was having issues dealing with separate checks. My recommendation is to have multiple servers handle a table of that size next time, as that would make it a bit more manageable, I think. Still, they have great food, atmosphere, and prices. Don't hesitate to check it out!

Had the most colorful, fresh, and delicious plate of nachos and mouth-watering homemade blueberry pie a la mode for lunch yesterday. I'm mad my phone died or else I would have taken a photo. Very prompt and pleasant service (Judi is lovely). I'll come back for more.

The chef here knows what she's doing!! We stayed at NEH for a week and have eaten dinner here a couple times. The seafood dishes are divine. We even brought our friends with us and they equally felt the same. The portions are generous and we'll balanced. Even our food allergy person was able to find several options on the menu to eat. I would highly recommend you try the Tan Turtle for Dinner.

We visited on Monday, July 15. We were there previously and wanted to return. There were 4 of us, myself, my sister, her daughter and one of my daughters. And my niece had her dog with her. As soon as we sat down someone immediately brought a bowl of water for Buster!! Dog friendly at Tan Turtle! We sat on the deck and enjoyed the lovely view and beautiful day. Our waiter, I will call him Zamboni Rob, was super nice. We all enjoyed delicious lobster rolls with great french fries. My sister usually does not eat fries but found these to be very crisp and yummy. We sat there quite a while and enjoyed the food and our conversation with the waiter. We will return and would like to see and hear more about Zamboni Rob who has no tattoos... anywhere...and of course the great food. We all recommend you pay them a visit.

Good food and plenty of it! Ten of us were sightseeing on the less-busy side of MDI and stopped for late lunch / early dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service was friendly and attentive, without being overbearing, and the prices were reasonable. Our only complaint was that the dining room was a little chilly. All in all, just what our family needed.

We ordered the fried seafood platter and the sailors delight special, and both were so delicious! We had the turtle cheesecake for dessert and it was very tasty. Our waitress Amber was super knowledgable and friendly, and we would definitely come back again!

We stopped by fun lunch as we’re always looking for new eateries. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. I had beef tips and was going to ask the waitress for a steak knife, but you don’t need it! You can cut them with a fork they are so tender. We’ll be back!

We watched World Cup game on a huge TV screen almost all by ourselves, meanwhile their friendly staff went out of the way to create a great experience - serving food, drinks, and checking unobtrusively on us. The artichoke dip was especially good. The place is very spacious and looks more like a restaurant, but the atmosphere at the bar was close to the one you find in your tiny local pub. I guess the staff's attitude matters and can change the space into a cozy little gem of a place. Our team lost. But it was our win never the less. Thank you guys!

They were awesome about having our dog at the restaurant. They immediately came out with a bowl of water and then the chef brought out a dish of cooked chopped meat...for the dog!! The food was delicious and the view Was beautiful.
