Great bar and grill. Good people, cooks, bartenders, owners and food and drink. Local hangout and tourists or business folk welcome....pool table also.....my favorite place to go in North Wilkesboro, and I have been there and done that all over the US and then some. Good draft beer selection.
We have eaten here many times, their crab cake plate is the ultimate bomb! All their food is fresh and made to order. I've never had a meal in here that wasn't fantastic!

This place was great! I was in town for work and look for places to eat. This one had good reviews so I had to try it. Their food was good. I tried a local brew beer that was tasty. The bar top was covered in old looking labels from past medicines and remedies. What a unusual and interesting place to see with good vibes, food and beer.

Food was great. Service was awesome, the whole setup makes you feel like your at home drinking with your boys or eating dinner at the table with family! And the official size pool table and Jutebox just makes it all come together!
Absolutely delicious! Passing North Wilkesboro, we decided to look for a Mom 'N Pop eatery, so we headed for downtown and chose The Dispensary. It's and 8-year old bar and pub that used to be a drug store.
Our meals were off the chart great! My Philly cheese steak was primo, with sensational onion rings. Linda's chicken was good as well, but the hand cut fries, just wow!
It's a very nice joint with a neighborhood friendliness and super food, plus great service.
This is a cool locals spot in town. The owner is a really nice guy. They have good food and drinks. Try out one of their burgers or pizzas. Always interesting convo, plus some drunk singing, down at The Dispensary! It’s a fun time.
Great little downtown place. It's probably more enjoyable for the bar area. But the food is good and super nice and friendly service!

So happy to see The Dispensary open as we get back to normal indoor dining. The menu selection is good but doesn't overwhelm and the quality of the food is much better than the menu might imply. E.g. at $11 the bacon cheeseburger is a great deal. No skimping on the beef or bacon here! There's also a crab cake sandwich and a veggie option. The buns are not overly bread-y as in many restaurants. The french fries are terrific.
Good draft beer selection which is an important criterion for me.
Wait staff are friendly, attentive, and engaging.
Interesting building with a lot of memorabilia on the walls from when this building was a .... Dispensary. Seems to be the go-to place for locals which is a good sign (I live 45 minutes away so I don't count myself as a local.)
If you're on US 421 headed to/from Boone, take the short detour to *North* Wilkesboro and check this place out.

Always get the Mushroom Swiss burger and Fun Dip alcoholic drink. Have been a couple of times, and staff is always amazing. Atmosphere is great, constantly have people who will greet you and ask you how you are although you just met, feels like a friendly gathering honestly.
Been here several times over the last few months. Consistently good food and service. Maybe not always a family atmosphere but fun and friendly for us old folks.
Our family loves this place. Get the Bacon chicken grill or the jalapeño pimento cheese burger cooked medium . Love the sides with extra ranch. Great service every time.
Brought in the New Year. With the exception of one patron I felt safe and the staff was courteous and friendly. Nice little dive bar. It could use a nicer pool table but really I can tell people just got there because of the staff.
Hip little eatery with great food and service. The old pharmacy converted into a quirky, unique place with lots to look at. Would definitely go back again

Really good burgers and homemade sides. Guys enjoyed their Reubens and cold beers too. Great find and we will return!
