I went for lunch and am happy I did. Upon walking in I was greated with a warm smile and and beverage. The Pimento Cheese Burger was on the specials board. I decided to endulge. The burger was fantastic! Super juicy and the pimento cheese was perfectly paired with fresh jalapeno slices. It sat on a homemade bun that was very good too.
From the looks of the deserts they had to be amazing! I was to full to enjoy. But I will be going back.
The house burger made top 5 burgers of all time list for my husband, and the seasonal pumpkin apple soup was incredible. Everything was unbelievably fresh and delicious, and the bartender was so kind when I called in advance to reserve. She welcomed us when we got there, and the food was even better than I had hoped based off the article in Our State magazine. They even had a local guitarist and singer playing live, which added to the whole experience. Thanks y’all for everything, and we will definitely be back!
My Dad read an article in Liveably Wilkes County and was determined to come for a visit. I'm glad he did because this place is no joke! Amazing food and great environment feel!
Good food, good service, great desserts, and very clean.
Loved this place! Great staff and service, but the food took it to another level. The bacon was cooked to perfection! Perfectly crispy, and not burnt in the slightest. The omelette was delicious and I could taste the freshness of the tomatoes in every bite. I will definitely be back.
The Simple burger was delicious and cooked to the temp I requested! They use farm fresh, local ingredients and that makes all the difference in taste. The A/C was cranked up but we were offered a new table. They were very accommodating. The best part of the meal, for me, was dessert! The chocolate zucchini cake was THE best! And the slice was huge. My husband and I couldn't finish it all. We will definitely visit again!
We were there for the Apple Festival yesterday. Long line for a table but SO worth it! Sweet, knowledgeable waitress and delicious food. My mate had the fried chicken and potato salad and said both were as good as his mama's. I had the simple grilled cheese, grits that were so creamy and fluffy (best I ever had) and a side salad with pecans, apples, and pecan vinaigrette. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and yummy. We really enjoyed the mellow rock songs of the guitarist serenading the room. Made it a nice romantic lunch on a hot (80 degrees) Fall day. We'll be back next time with friends!
We had lunch here on Saturday, November 4th. My husband and 7 year-old daughter had the burgers and hand cut fries and I had the shrimp and grits. Everything was wonderful! The live music kept our little one entertained until our food arrived. We love the idea of locally sourced ingredients and will visit again soon!
Oh, and our server had the most beautiful and welcoming smile! She made the experience even more relaxing....thanks so much!
What a great asset to our small town that is making a real "come-back"! Here we have a small, comfortable, modern bistro with delicious, carefully prepared dishes that leave you fully satisfied and determined to come back again and again. Service is always friendly and efficient. Prices are very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. There are good wines, cocktails, and a variety ot craft beers . And the home-made desserts are wonderful. What more can be said?

The struggles of fine dining with children - SOLVED! :)
I was so longing for a relaxing dinner at a fine restaurant, after a long day at work, but we would be dining with 3 children. What to do?!? The staff at Elsewhere on 10th made this possible for us! We called in our order about 20 minutes prior. Upon our arrival - we were seated promptly and were served our food within minutes. The staff was exceptional! Our waiter was more than attentive, and the food was SUPERB! Can you believe that there were absolutely NO complaints from the kids! They even tried the oh so delicious sweet potato biscuits! I was able to enjoy my long awaited gourmet dinner, that is prepared using local and organic ingredients. :) I was very impressed with every aspect of our experience. From the fresh cut flowers on each table, to the chef coming out to personally check on the kids to ensure that they were enjoying their experience. I would recommend this place to anyone, and will definitely be dining there again. If you haven't tried Elsewhere on 10th - you are missing out!
Adding an update a month or so later. Nice chicken pie tonight. Got exactly the drink I ordered. We enjoyed it and will be back although sadly out of both ribs and crab cakes. But I'd rather have good quality fresh food and risk being out of something. Adding a star.
Average meal after we got through the list of items not available on the menu. Chewey BBQ chicken but good pork barbeque. Nice salads. Apparently in desperate need of a bartender or more practice. It's was fine but there are better places in town.

so it's hard to find fine dining with such an array of dishes.. the
veggie. burger is made from scratch and is really. good.
Fantastic farm to table restaurant. Everything is very local and made on-site from the bread to the soup. Slightly higher than local prices, but worth every penny because of the high quality local food. Great date night or a relaxing lunch with "the ladies".
Best food we've had in Wilkes County and we've lived here 14 yrs!! Everything was excellent. The potato salad is so good we bought a pint to go. We will absolutely return and recommend this restaurant to anyone!!
As a family of six we always worry about going anywhere to eat without child distractions. Everytime we've visited our children have been great. The food is fantastic, hands down the best restaurant in Wilkes county.
Excellent food with excellent service. Very nice ambience that is brightly lit with plenty of room between tables and an overall welcome change to the standard food offerings of Wilkes county. Highly recommend the brunch menu.
Delicious food & very accommodating for vegetarian as well as gluten free customers. We had veggie burger in gluten free bread, the cold plate with egg, chicken & potatoe salads & a 2nd veggie burger on regular bread. They came with fresh crispy onion rings & our sides were collards on one & sautéed spinach on the others. All 4 of us really liked our selections. Will definitely go back when in the area - this was a great find!
I cant say enough good things about this place! The staff and owner actually treated you like a human and not just a customer. The food is locally procured, fresh, farm-to-table quality and it's very apparent with the first tatse. The blackened chicken salad was nothing short of amazing.
