I don't know how the other dishes fair out but if you want to have a HEART ATTACK asap order LEGUME. Come on people is it necessary to put so much oil in a dish. The plastic bag before I got home oil from the container fell out. Oil in the plate that 's from me trying the drain as much oil out from the legume. Haitian wake up cook healthier meals

Every time I visit Miami I stop by this authentic Haitian restaurant and get my fix. The food is incredible and I usually order the fried goat. Only down side is that the menu is in kreyol and unless you know what you want in advance and in Kreyol it makes it hard to order if you don’t know what to order. The staff is not bilingual and only speak Kreyol. The food is made to order so there is always a long wait which is worth it but don’t stop by here if you’re in a rush. This is also a cash only place.

We were apprehensive about ordering here due to the reviews. I’m glad we took the chance and experienced for ourselves. The food was very good. I ordered beforehand to minimize the wait time. Ample food was provided for $15. Both the hubby and I ate from one plate. In addition to bannan, the plate included patâte. Overall good experience. Will be back.

I have been eating Marie’s Griot since 1977-78 when she was cooking out of her house and my brother and I would play with her kids. BEST GRIOT IN MIAMI PERIOD! Excellent food! Don’t bother projecting your privilege by expecting to get your a** kissed here. Come here for quality authentic Haitian food in generous portions. Anything else , go somewhere else and stop leaving bad reviews based on your expectations from other types of restaurants. Madame John’s griot is the reason we drive all the way from South Dade, and have NEVER found better griot anywhere else in Miami.
