Peppercorns Family Restaurant

This place is a staple in our family. Any time we visit we always go here. Great food, lovely service with smiles and chuckles, and the food is delicious and plentiful. My husband gets the grilled chicken sandwich every time because they give you 2 good size pieces of chicken! My mother and I love the pasta and they always give you plenty of protein 😋 OH and the desserts are out of this world! I can't say enough good things about this place!

HONEST REVIEW: I hoped for a better experience from this place, but for a Friday night, this was mediocre at best. First and foremost, the service was great. Super nice and paid close attention. As for the food, not so much. The bread that is served to everyone at the beginning of the meal is really the best part, so savor that moment for as long as possible. Appetizers are run of the mill options including the sampler, which was better than our main courses. We both had steak tips and they were chonky pieces of undercooked beef that we ate one piece of before deciding to take it home. Don't expect much when you visit.

Haven't been in a while, went to breakfast with a buddy. The food was average but our friendly server did a great job with us. What really sucked was the sticker on the middle of the menu explaining how "labor costs" are the cause of everything on the menu being 1.00-1.50$ more than what the menu says. I can't think of a more insulting and degrading way to treat your staff than by telling customers it's the staff's fault the prices are going up during hyperinflation. Blaming staff for the shortcomings of management is common in today's world and shows the character of the owners of this place. Trash.

Been driving by this place for years, but always had a doubt because the mixed reviews. Finally gave it a try as part of our try something new in the area. We went for lunch on Saturday at 12:30. The parking lot is full as there was a baby shower going on in the function room. It pretty decent American style with a good mix of classic and new dishes. We ordered veritirs of dishes, Fish Chowder, BBQ Ribs, Baked Haddock , Roasted Lamb, for us, and pasta and chicken fingers for kids. The chowder had a hearty taste, good for a cold day. The ribs were St Louis style, fall of the bone tender. The baked haddock was very tender, the light touch of butter made the fish very smooth. The baked lamb is tomato based, it could use a kick of flavor. Kids meals are large potion and pretty standard. Overall, pretty nice place, would come again. The inside of the restaurant was renovated last year compare to some old photos. It has a bit of modern touch now.
