Shadi's Restaurant

Traditional Middle Eastern? I couldn’t even imagine any Middle Eastern restaurant can produce this horrible taste. Well, and if you want to call it an American restaurant, look at their french fries - soft like noddles and taste like mashed potatoes without any other ingredients. Who gave this restaurant more than 4 stars? Certainly not Middle Eastern folks. I really wish Google had a “dislike” button for establishments that are not worth a single star. Also, I wrote this in hopes of Google telling me to never go back, if I ever by mistake, search for this place in future.

My family has been going here since I can remember. I usually only get to eat here when I come visit. Recently, I moved up to the New England area about two hours away. I’ve still never found a restaurant that serves real, authentic, Lebanese home cooking. I drove two hours just to get food from here yesterday😂. So if you’re Lebanese, this place is home; and if he just like trying food from other cultures, this place is authentic! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

I would have to say out of all the local restaurant’s in North Andover Shadis is too notch, The lighting and subtle music plays a huge part in the aesthetic. The wait staff and bartenders are second to none. It is actually unbelievable that you cant walk in this place without being greeted by the family owners, and they could not be better people. All the food is fresh as can be, and the selection is a wife variety of lebanese and American cuisine. 10/10 reccomend

So don't let my review detract from the food, which was great. We've historically ordered takeout from here but made the HUGE mistake of trying to eat in the restaurant this time. Our waitress was at first attentive, but then very clearly a more important party came in and our waitress was assigned to them. She came over at one point and I said we were ready to order. She looked at me like at me very irritated and said she'd be back, then stormed off. She then served the more important table (the manager hovered over them all night) and she didn't return for 20 mins. So we sat. Hungry. And waited. She finally returned and we ordered 3 simple apps. We then again sat. Hungry. And waited, whilst seeing all around us getting food quicker. One even had the same dish as one we ordered, yet sat down long after us. In the end it was a 90 minute ordeal to basically get some hummus and a couple of apps. So you show preference to a family or important customer, I get it. But then reassign your waiter/waitress!!! We shouldn't all have to suffer because the manager has a crush on certain customers or friends (I noted the mgr made no effort to go to ask other customers experience... couldn't care less) It was a bad enough experience, I won't even bother with takeout going forward.
