Cagney's Chicken And Seafood Eatery

I always drove by the place never went so saw it on Door Dash and decided to try it. Got a 10 piece fried chicken with 2 side: collard greens and Mac and cheese. The greens were tender but not seasoned. The Mac and cheese was disappointing. The chicken skin looked crispy but when you touch it it peeled right off so I was left with a pile of chicken skin. However the chicken under the skin was good. But not a fan.

I don’t like the chicken wings or chicken strips. I liked the chicken sandwich and chicken breast and gizzards better. An authentic taste but heavy on the oil. It is prepared in a weighed down oil that you can tell affects the quality of the food here. The chicken noodle soup was horrible. It was watered down with sprinkles of pepper on it.

So this was some of the most beautiful chicken that has graced my mouth. I been to a few chicken places and don't bother with a review. This place is worth the drive, the cost was amazing and the crispy skin chicken and hush puppies were amazing. Staff was very friendly and you can tell they enjoy feeding people. Even the brownies I had at the end was amazing. I really can't say enough positive things about this place. Come here, take a seat and feel at home!

I had never heard of this restaurant before tonight (so many places to choose from here!). But I saw pictures of their food on door dash and honestly it looked delicious. I did not go to the actual restaurant but I ordered through door dash. The food came quickly and tasted as great as it looked online! That and for the price you pay the portions are very generous. I couldn't even finish half of what's shown in the picture along with the giant slab of cornbread I got as a side. I will definitely be ordering again soon and look forward to trying other dishes.
