Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Wow! My hubby and I ate here for the first time and I can't wait to go back. I had the pulled pork, Mac n cheese and green beans and a roll..The pulled pork was perfectly salted, smoked, it was tender and perfection to me. Mac n cheese was classic and cheese sauce had a great body and flavor. The green beans provided a flavor bomb. Of course they tasted like green beans layered with the just the right amount of acidity, bacon layered with a smoked flavor. Even the roll was spectacular, a rich dense roll that was basted with lots of butter. My husband had the poultry plate with baked beans, coleslaw and a roll. He loved his meal too. I didn't have any as I was way too preoccupied with my own plate. Thanks to the team at Dickey's bbq pit! Food was tremendous as was the service.

Excellent staff and service! Food is always great! Cant say the same for the working conditions. Behind counter/lobby and dining areas are excessively warm even considering the heat. Rumor has it that the manager has refused to support staff by adding fans or cranking up the ceiling fans. Maybe the building owner needs to re-evaluate the HVAC system for the building. Staff looked miserable hot but they all were super nice and friendly. I was sweating just waiting for my to go order. And this isn't the only time that the counter lobby area was too hot. Management needs to do something cause now is not the time to loose great employees.

I came in like a hurricane one evening having tried unsuccessfully to place an online order. The whole staff were gracious and helped me get what I needed, processed correctly, and out the door lickety split! They couldn't've been more willing to go out of their ways to right the errors of their website and after a long day of working, a 30-minute drive to get there, and the excruciating heat wave, I was especially grateful. The food was delicious and so much more than we could've hoped for! We will definitely be back and I hope the same folks will be working again because I know we will be in great hands!
