Hinode Japanese Steakhouse And Sushi

Came here in December for the first time with my husband. The service from the bartender Lora and the hibachi chef was good but there was extreme drama and poor service from hostess and waitresses. Decided to give it a try again last night and was extremely disappointed. The hostess selectively chooses who she wants to enforce your mask policy with. The people who came in after us got seated before us, they said it was our fault for deciding to change from hibachi seating to dining.(only changed because they said we had a 25 minute wait)Would make sense if the dining area was full, but was completely empty besides 1 table. Another person came in and said they tried calling several times and people were answering the phone and saying " hello hello hello," and hanging up. Was not impressed with the service we got from our waiter. At one point I went to restroom with my friend and the stalls were full. Someone from inside one of the stalls said "who the f**k is in here". Wait for stalls to open so I could use restroom and both stalls were occupied by employees...so not sure why employees are cussing at patrons. I've worked in restaurants before and I feel like this location is ran by a bunch of kids who desperately need direction.

The food here is fine. In Nixa we don't have many options. My complaint is that to-go takes so long. First was quoted over an hour, when I got here at the expressed time I was told 15 more minutes. I came back then and was told the food was being bagged up. Thirty minutes later with no updates until I CALLED I was told they were waiting on soup. Okay, someone could have told me and even offered to see if I wanted to wait since now I placed my order over 2 hours ago. This is the worst experience but this happens every time I have placed a pick-up order.

They seated us and it was about an hour until the cook started, but we understand as it is Christmas. I’m sure they were busy today, and it’s much appreciated that they are open on this holiday. We love their sister business, Bawi, and we finally got around to trying this restaurant. We enjoyed it. The server was more attentive than other servers at other hibachi style restaurants.

Walked in and was immediately greeted by two amazing host, I believe there names were Cialee and Laura. Wait wasn’t long at all, server was super nice and respectful. Our chef William was terrific, scallops were perfect, everything looked clean and he gave a great show. Love this place and definitely look forward to my next visit
