Al's #1 Italian Beef

I live in S Carolina and on social media I found some posts of people from Chicago asking where to find Italian Roast Beef. Some responses said only in Chicago! Others said make your own and provided recipes. I had just been in Chicago and missed out so I told myself the next time in Chicago I would try it. I will say I did follow recipes and made it at home and it was a hit with my family. But last week a coworker and myself were able to try Al’s and what a treat it was. My sandwich was awesome, the Big Beef. Coworker had the same and we split a large order French Fries.

I love love love Al's beef! I dreamt about this all night so i drove the next morning from Huntley il to get a beef dipped well with peppers and American cheese! Service here is always super fast & the gentleman who took my order was so polite. The place is always clean! Al's beef never ever disappoints, ill be back next month 😋

Can you visit Chicago and not have an Italian beef sandwich? So good and fresh cut fries to go with it. Excellent food and owner was so nice. My only complaint was the fact that the restaurant was really hot. Air conditioner was not working and it was 90+ degrees outside that day. Overall an excellent experience.

We stopped to grab a late lunch as when we googled best Italian Beef in Chicago, Al's was mentioned as the #1 place. The restaurant was slow for the afternoon, but the gentleman working the counter was fantastic and so helpful! When we got our sandwiches, they were a little dry and not overly spectacular. We'd come back since there's a variety of food from Italian Beef, Hamburgers, and Pizza- but might try others to get a good perspective of Chicago Italian Beef.
